Do stop loss orders carry into after hours and pre market trading?

I have a stop loss order and limit stop order placed, will this be effective
say if there's a big price action right after the market opens ?

If price hit your order in active trading hours it will most likely get hit. If market is very fast you may get some slippage against you, or in your favour, depending where the market is going.

If market gaps around your order however, during the weekend, it depends on your broker it may:

1. Never be executed, since price did not come to the quote you asked with your order.
2. Get executed not on the price you desired, but on the opening price on sunday evening, with a lot of slippage included.

The best answer on this question though you can get from your broker customer service.
You wont survive without preserving!!!

It depends how close your stop is from market....like was said before price can gap up or down because banks are still trading just retail closed over weekend.
