DislikedGreetings all,
I was away from trading longer than anticipated, but feels good to be back. First trade in a long time is a flat surface break, 20.4, on EU. SL is 20 pips/1% risked.

DislikedOther lot hit SL, so out at BE. Still a bit rusty, should've exited trade after news release, ADR was over 100%, but sadly wasn't around to take advantage. Will make a note for next time.Ignored
DislikedToday's top was a third touch of a rising channel. The channel is not parallel and is slightly widening though, so my guess is that it is not worth buying from the lower TL that has two touches. I think a better bet could be trading on the break of the yellow TL, as it has three touches already.

And because the upper red TL is not quite clear on H3, here's H1 view.

DislikedGreetings,
Looking at a 20.6 on EU. Let's see if we get a nice break of the TL. SL is 30 pips/1.5% risked.

DislikedSL hit, so out at -30pips/-1.5%. Could've got out earlier when it was apparent price had difficulty breaking the 1.40 level. No reverse order set initially, so will just have to accept the loss. If price doesn't go past the daily open and the day's main move stays the same, then a possible 18.4 could be applied, but time will tell.Ignored
DislikedSL is 18 pips/0.93% risked. For another 20 pips or so I could place my SL above the intraweek high for an intraweek 18.4. Now that's something for me to think aboutIgnored
DislikedGreetings all,
Other factor to support my trade idea and use of 18.3 is a 15 min bearish div which shall be my TP for the time being.

DislikedLet's see how far price can break upwards. SL set to 20 pips/1% risked.Ignored
DislikedOne lot closed for +40 pips/+1% gain. Tempted to close other lot soon, ADR is over 100%. US building news is out in a few minutes also.Ignored
DislikedGreetings all,
Have entered a long trade on EJ. The premise was a flat surface break, but having reviewed the template I think I have approached this all wrong. The trade should be put in the direction of the current (I'm assuming longer than daily) move, my trade is only in the direction of the daily MM, so it's basically a counter trend trade and I have placed the odds against me. The only saving grace could be the possibility of a channel forming and price trying to reach for the upper border projection. If channel border is valid I will...Ignored
DislikedHey Niteshift!
To me it looks like you bought the break of a h&s neckline, and the formation seems to be at an end of a medium(short?) term trend. That means the situation is not as bad as you think! AttachmentIgnored
DislikedI don't drink coffee myself, but if you are working night shift as your nick name is suggesting then I think a good night's sleep without an alarm waking you up is all you need! I used to do night shift for 6 months and the sleep quality during the day is simply not the same!
Thanks for charts!
Best,
Tom
EUR/USD seems to have a similar picture to E/J, though the price is much nearer to the border. If I see the price touching the line and stopping, I'll consider selling. The channel is slightly narrowing, and I think that is better than a widening...Ignored
