A little bitter, are we? You said in another post that your country has the highest number of soldiers in the UN missions. I suggest you point that out to them, I'm sure that will change their minds and you'll be trading in no time.

Our firm policies are based on regulatory standards and obligate us to review each and every account for suitability. We are required to assess the income, occupation, and investment experience to see if opening an account for someone is appropriate. To protect your privacy I won’t disclose anything about your personal situation, but if any of the responses to the multiple questions on our online application don’t meet the requirements set forth by our regulatory agents, we have an obligation to deem a client not suitable to trade in the FOREX markets with our firm.

If you would like to disclose to everyone here on the boards exactly how you responded to the questions, including your age and occupation, please feel free to. At least that way everyone would know the whole story.

Otherwise, understand that this decision had absolutely nothing to do with your deposit size. Our minimum deposit is $400 and has nothing to do with suitability when opening accounts. We have many people that start their accounts with this amount to test their MT4 EAs with microlots. We certainly don’t discourage people to test their systems this way. Since day one on these boards I’ve said, skip the demo and open an account with $400 to really experience the live environment with minimum risk. I think any person considering a new broker should take this advice regardless if it is with MBT or another firm. Demo trading is never the same as Live executions.

i would like to know that is mbt allowing to put on a sell stop and buy limit at the sametime...cause when i to put those orders in the mt4 demo from mbt..it will keep saying too many orders.
I hope being self employed or unemployed with 1 or 2 years of trading experience doesn't lead to a reason to deny any future applications one may or may not consider in the distant future with slightly above the initial deposit requirement.

It's not as simple as "you're unemployed, you can't have an account with us."

We look at a combination of factors;

 

  1. age
  2. annual income
  3. net worth (excluding home equity)
  4. liquid net worth
  5. bankruptcy
  6. trading experience

Everything is a case by case scenario and depending on their situation might require follow up questions from our new accounts department prior to approval/denial.

Someone could certainly be unemployed and have a high net worth and be eligible to trade with our firm. Or, someone could be employed, but only 18 and we might not find them suitable based on our firm policy of 21 as the minimum age.

Could you advise what the volume indicator represents on your system(charts)? is that "trading Volume" through your ecn? is that the total of represented bid amount and each time its requoted its show as volume?

You are correct. The volume indicator represents the collective bid volume from our liquidity providers, but might only be a portion as not all providers disclose their full available volume to our system.

Thought to share some good info about MBT
While i check and compare CFTC report i found MBT getting more net capital while many other broker out of the market and some got less capital than before.

Let me clarify something as I might have answered the wrong question. In our LEVEL 2, the size you see next to each price is the minimum size that is showing based on all of the market participants at that price. It doesn’t mean that there isn’t more at that price, as many banks only show a generic amount but are really there for more size.

If you are asking about the volume on the charts of an FX pair, the volume is not any measure of size at all. Each movement of the bid represents 1, so if the bid moves 200 times in a 5-minute bar, the volume for that bar will display as 200.

There is no centralized volume in FOREX and brokers don’t report their trades via price and size (called Time and Sales in the stock and futures world) yet. We hope that someday, as the market moves toward more centralized trading, that that will be the case.

However, bid movement does represent activity, so it is reported in the volume data.

Actually I have been with them for couple of years. Problems arise from time to time, but they are always addressed promptly.

They have taken suggestions I have made and implemented them in the past.

Technology can't be expected to work perfectly all the time.

The fact that they have this forum where I can post my dissatisfaction when it occurs and it is not edited out speaks volumes for MB.

I'm not changing brokers.

Hi Justin,

I bet this has been discussed here, but flicking though 300+ pages would take ages..

Anyways i'll try mu luck asking.

I am trading live with FxPro everything is decent, but just want to test waters with MB if you know what i mean

1. Main thing is compatibility of the EAs that i use with instant execution at fxpro - will they be working with MBTs MT4?

2. How would you compare execution?

3. Can i use multiple platforms with one account?

4. Who are your counter parties?

5. What is the maximum i can trade "per click"?

6. How is the execution pre and during news releases? Lets take example of 5 full lots(500k) during nfp(on e/u obviously) what will be average time for clearing. I DO understand this is not very correct question, as this may depend on zillion things, but still.

7. How is that possible that min lot is 0.1. i thought that big guys(banks) will not accept anything less then 1x lots? Does that mean that my orders will be aggregated somehow and only then transferred to the pool? If so does this effect execution time.

I will be opening account anyway to see how this are going, but above will clear up a bit my mind.
