i love this people who wants a plug'n'profit solution . open new.tpl in editor and search for <expert> and notice all indicators that are listining.

With regards to the exit.

The entry was made on the M1 Chart, as the trade progress (in time) I moved it to the M5. The M15 ADX was monitored, once the DI started to approach I exit....I could have gone out earlier, but was hoping for continuation

One thing I like about using the EMA is that as soon as i enter the trade, I no longer go negative immediately , that seriously took away confidence. If it moves against me later in the trade, that is okay, I am a little more confident in riding it out.

tread, do u get tired with the insomniac issue? was reading on the internet about that at work. there seems to be some medications but it's tough. my mom had that problem for years and relied on sleeping pills which lead to other problems... it's tough...

nice informative charts! would you say you are patient person? average, above average, or extremely?

Tried it all, fatigue is a constant, the major problem is addiction, it is very easy to develop negative habits, Im lucky as I channel all efforts in forex, it consumes so much time and is so exhaustive that it actually helps. I am average on the patience.

i was wondering that too, the only thing i dond like its that i have to wate more to a trade to develop, for example i didnt have a clear entry in NY session,(maby because its monday) but i prefere 2 90% trades than 4 50% trades, so i have to trade from 3am to 9 am so i can catch a good trade, i live in Mexico(6 gmt) London opens at 2am and NY at 7am,

Theres no such things as holidays without looking at the markets

Use the scanner to look for the opportunity, at any point in time there are 2 - 3 trades that can be taken. If you guys have time,do some research into pair correlation. Also when look at the scanner,and you see all the CAD pairs trending down and the EUR trending up ....guess which pair you should look to trade?

The breakout is only one, try to use the retrace to set up trades also....see videos posted earlier.

For example all tf trending down ...watch the 21 and 13 EMA those might compress yet the other EMA are not affected, this is an indicator of a minor retrace, i.e buying/sell the dip, if you can get a trix cross to support it, then you have a possible trade

I didn't use higher trix, it's because wen you use the EMAs it's almost sure that the higher trix are in the same direction, only see if it in ov or os, and what about you?

I am trying to developing a weighting for the various indicators, i.e what takes precedent ... of the state of all the indicators adds up to a certain score, based on that score you trade.

It is just a thought, always seeking to improve the EA, the more mechanical... they better

So, do you trade EA In the real acc? Or only manual? And if yes what do you like the most?

Click the paperclip atg the top right of this forum and look for the indicator names. All indicators associated with THV that has ever been posted in this thread will be in there

Tread, i only use std trix in the m1 chart. However, i do have trix on the m5 and m15 which i glance at before entry.

Personally i rather look at indicators in a higher timeframe, rather than an indicator which shows the indicator of a higher timeframe. Basically it is reliant on that reference indicator being accurate.

Tread, agree with becoming mechanical. By doing so you can play the numbers game using the same rules over and over again.

I think by trading across multiple currencys and timeframes, you need to have strict rules tghat are follwed on every trade. ie entry, stop, trade management and exit.

This is exactly how i trade as you know . By doing so, you know exactly why you are in and why you are out every single time you trade.

I trade manually, i use the EA as a monitor for setup conditions. Ideally if the EA can trade automatically then it would be good lol!!

All my testing is to make the EA more independent.

well, the ema dashboard thing you made is a big help.

anyways, per your question, i just look at your ema dashboard. when it all meets

i go on 1m. preferrably 5m trix is same colour as the 1m trix cross when the trigger gets pulled. 1m adx only.

if i had to wait for 5m & 15m adx as well as the 5m & 15m trix for sure...

patience could run dry. and when that happens, what i end up doing might be even worse than if i had just gone ahead to take the trade with 1m, 5m trix, 1m adx + ema on 3 tf.

i think this methodology was what you recommended at some point and i am just following it.

btw: i can see now what you mean by not looking for the consolidation. it seems you are just looking for the ema's to align (you don't care at which point in the trend we are at, start, middle, end or whatever), and you just rely on the trix trigger for continuation. if the trade survives, monitor DI convergence on 5m. if the trade continues to survive, monitor DI convergence on 15m. this last part is really, really tough. that's why i was asking about your patience. it's mind boggling... how can you be so confident, it will eventually go in your favour? is ema fan out on 3 tf and the adx NOT converging really that powerful? because i noticed during your wait, the trix would have been doing all types of things. it's even possible that 1m trix would cross in the opposite direction of your entry, AND the 5m trix colours would have gone against your entry direction at times, although granted, ema and adx are in tact.

You got to remember that Trix show momentum and gives short term direction. The whole idea is to stick with the trend, which is why the EMA and ADX (our primary trend tools) are monitored.

The momentum will ebb and flow throughout the trade that is a given. Once the trend remains in place, then you are still trading the trend. It also helps going in to know exactly how you will will risk on a trade

Also the longer you are in a trade, you need to consult the higher time frames so see what is happening.

The big issue is the news, this will blow this thinking out of the water, so plan your entry around you calender.

EDIT #: I also take a partial close in my trades.It covers the risk.... After that, I can either break-even or move more into profit. Once it starts moving i may even add to the position.

Once I am no longer risking my captial what is there to worry about

the only problem with that is....just prior to the second divergence arrow after your red vertical line, both trixes would have crossed back into the green. what would have been your reasons to stay in the trade?

unless you had other indicators or reasons, i think the trader would have left the trade just before it plummeted down...
