Very much so. I have been using it as a comparison to Aebabs calculator this week.
You have also mentioned you are using similar "phase" aproach as he does. If you don t mind, i would love to hear more about your technique.

At the risk of completely screwing the whole ethos of this (now rather unpleasant) thread and actually sharing something, I am more than happy to give folk the internal formulae of my calc. All you coders can now build this right into your indys, templates and even EAs!

Just to be clear, here are the formulae for my calc laid out in the same layout as Bobi's #1 calc.


0.6747 * D + 0.3280 * M
0.6743 * D + 0.3255 * M __________ 0.2502 * D + 0.751 * M
0.6735 * D + 0.3234 * M

0.3349 * D + 0.6745 * M
0.6676 * D + 0.3394 * M
0.3336 * D + 0.6696 * M
0.3519 * D + 0.6489 * M
0.6743 * D + 0.3255 * M
0.2966 * D + 0.6973 * M
0.3328 * D + 0.6632 * M
0.3286 * D + 0.6648 * M
0.3320 * D + 0.6585 * M

D is the "daily close" and M is the 50% fib level.

Remember : do BOTH multiplies first, THEN add results.

If you put in say D = 1.2000 and M = 1.3000 you get identical results to Bobi. For other values, it is a bit different.

For those who are technically minded, you can have fun tying up the constants in the above formulae with the "Fib of Fib" levels!

Thanks so much, for sharing Old_Dog, guys anyone can create Indy base
on this to draw those lines? I personally like EA idea, why? Because you cannot possibly
watch this screen 24/7 without going complete nuts.

Hopefully someone will create an Indicator/EA soon. For people like me who has very minimal computer knowledge, all these numbers does not mean much. I just want to be able to pull in the indicator on chart and start trading

For only with such values could use the calculator uses as Bobby.

Nice gesture Old Dog,

May I put a request in to the coders like Squalou and others to first create a simple indicator that looks at the NY close and the 50% level in the current phase and draw the lines on the chart for entry and TP as per Old Dog's calculations. Ideally the lines would be for each day only and not across the screen, and would use prior days abonacci levels to calculate the lines for as far back as practical to see if there is anything here worth pursuing.

At least that's a start for one way to trade the information.

I would encourage Stimpy to come forward (or others), and if he/they have sorted out how to calculate the base number and the range, to share it.

Now that's productive.

Guys

Please bear in mind that the calc I have posted is designed to work with my levels, not Bobi's. So don't expect miracles.

I have been trading like this for 25 years. The current calc is (C)2005 so somewhat "old" (like me) but still going strong (like me! lol). The coefficients do change but only very slowly. The calc only needs updating from time to time.

As I have said before, I also have my own methods for finding 7 lines each month/week. The centre is the pivot, then 3 support and 3 resistance. Often the market will touch these accurate to 1 pip in 300 pips.

If you get this right, you will do very well. My house is bought and paid for, the children all went thru university without debt and my wife and I live very comfortably.

What is the origin of those values? Trial and error or a theory?
