I missed it too. It moved during the Asian session which is not when I expected it to move.

Just read your journal. Congratuations on your GU trade which netted 211 pips and your doubling your money since the beginning of the year. Well done. Now, that's the sort of equity curve that I want ! (Please correct me if I misinterpreted the translation.)

To be honest, I don't trade purely 4 hr macd so Ira is more qualified to comment on this strategy than me. Also Ira has been trading a long time.

TP: anywhere near 1.3140 - 1.3160
SL: below support
new: no significant news

This RT macd signal is definitely dangerous. If it was my trade, I will only consider CT trade if the candle is doji star (plus with momentum and stochastic indys are at SWING HIGH position). In this case, favouring TC trade is better than CT.

Too bad, GU is not my trade. Just my opinion based on my experience. Nothing else.

yesterday 22:00 gmt I entered 3 trades, here the data and results

long eurusd @1,3075, r=70 - tp 1r
short usdchf @1,0047, r=50 - sl be
short gbpusd @1,5564, r=65 - sl be

I'm currently aiming for 1r tp and set the trade be at 0,5r

Entries are less a problem than trademanagement ....

I tested the 60 EMA, But is it ok with Philip's H4 MACD strategy ?

Philip has been using 55sma some time ago to picture a method on how to let profits run ... maybe the 55 serves as the ma inbetween 21 and 89 ... also it fills the gap of the fibonacci sequence

Hi all,

my quest for the ideal trademanagement goes on. I have been trading r:r 1:2, 1:1,5, 1:1 ... somehow it worked but never completely satisfying.
Now a collegue of mine has suggested to read this thread by pipEASY http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=245149 which deals with multiple long term positions, while the entries are discretionary. To me it appears as if the equity millipede would work pretty well with 4hmacd entries, on 1h, 4h or daily ...
Please have a look and tell me what you think about it.

daily usdjpy short @84,40, r=120 (24.sep)

daily usdcad short@1,0262, r=130 (24.sep)

eurusd has sl be

Hi, I am new to this system. I see a bearish round macd on the 4h EURUSD. May anyone comment if this is a valid trade.

I feel the uptrend is strong. CT trades normally don't drop pass 21 ma but when it does, it can go down a lot. Probably wait and see what the action is when EUR dropped to 21 ma? Just my 2-cents worth. I feel CT trades' reward gets smaller and smaller as time goes by because the MA will catch up but the risk stays the same if one were to set above a swing point.
