With this current trading system of yours, how often do you stick to the monitor? I'm just curious because i hope to seek a ichimoku trading system that doesn't need me to stick at the monitor 24/7

One thing you can do is pick a timeframe that you like, say 1 hour for example and then look how far price moves in between each signal. (whatever your signal is) you will need to do this for each pair that you trade because each one will move different amounts. So if for example you find that a pair moves around 100 pips after each signal, You could set your take profit for some percentage less than that so you have a better chance of it filling. So if it moves 100 , set your take profit at 80 backtest it and see how it works.

Or just follow your stop using the T&K lines, on 1 hour you do not need to be stuck at the screen all the time. You will just need to be at the screen until you can have your stop positive or B/E but you would need to do that with any system you use for stops.

it depends on ur risk managment rules if you are small trader then you have to stick with charts and check every moment to protect yourself from a draw down, if you have money that can withstand an initial loss then its okay with higher time frames,
its your trading technique mate,

Vic left the thread because of fights with some stupid people, i learned everything from Vic and am trading live now with consistent profits due to his advices, and i want to help traders like he did, and i really want to find him too

When does class begin ? I am only looking at gu and if you take the pure Vic's entry's they are rare too find, please correct me if i see that wrong.
Finally someone off his students rises, now this thread can come back to live. Hope i did'nt miss someone before, if so excuse me.

yea Vic's entry is rare to find because he wanted to get confirmation from all the higher time frames, but i did modification to it, so please re-read the previous page i tried to explain my system briefly , together we will get this thread to a better place and we will get pips together,

if you look at gu now there could come a valid signal on M5, all the higher tfs are in line for a bullish entry, that is if i see these things right?

no SL placed under that white line, EMA 200, but you could be right my entrance may have been a bit too early, wasn't a Vic's entry but the higher tfs were confirming the trend. Thx

entered at 5839, signal given by kumo and CS break out and higher tfs, should have waited for the TS/KS cross, but now we know it was right. Like said before if you have to wait for the perfect set-up watching one pair there wont be many entry's

mate when u r trading low time frames, and u missed the signal as i think it was ur case, u have to wait for a strong entry from another lower time frame or from the same time frame and that was ur mistake , but every thing with ur signal was great except for the hourly KS it was flat so u should take care of it as it attracts the price,

thanks, i do look at higher tfs but i am not all the time at my desk so i have to take entry's not completely riskfree, if there are such entry's. Look at H4 for the above trade, major S/R. Have a nice weelend all and post your entry's as well, we can only benefit from it. Or i maybe wrong

sir i shouldnt have taken this trade because it was in the middle of the 30 min kumo so it would be too risky for me ( as i wait for confirmation from two higher frames) and when it broke the 30 minutes kumo it was facing the hourly kumo!
lol it was too risky trade and u took on Friday so maybe u was lucky! but dont ever ever ever trade on Fridays!
anyway good luck mate and wish to share all our trades from the next week

I had given up Forex about 6 months of so for various reason. Re-inspired by another friend, re-entered forex with Ichimoku ...made 251 pips between Sept 23-30. This time, I comitted myself to Vic_Elc's style of "Perfect signal"...

I found quite interesting differences between April 1-10 and Sept 23-30 Ichimokus success stories (the one above and a week ago), I thought I would share with you:

1. April 1-10, I took 16 positions and 5 lost, 11 won, result 273 pips.
2. Sept 23-30, I took 6 positions only, 1 lost and 5 won, result 251 pips.

I found myself more and more waiting/postponing to take positions than jumping in, still getting the close to same amount of pips.

As Vic_Elc suggested, I use NOTHING but Ichimoku for analysis. I found myself reading only Vic_Elc's posts and found them quite refreshing focus. I am hoping to keep the consistency of Ichi success from now on.
