Aboonacci System - for EUR/USD prediction

It looks like the new calculator still uses the prior fase 1.3467 instead the numbers coming from the new fase 1.3595, I think that could be the reason

We can say that there was disruption of the 38.2 fibo?

Looking at the new Pivot calculatory i ask myself why software why not direktly signals every day .

I am the first who opt-in .

If you need or want signals, there are plenty of sources for that...

Been lurking here for a few days as I often apply a fib number to the prior day and within a certain range within the london session as a way to get targets for a daily range...so this has my interest for the moment. It's logical to expect the currency usually to fill it's average daily range...and setting those limit orders at the end of the day for the next day is most interesting. I set mine based on a portion of london session...which I rarely get up for. So many times I miss the move.

I use a couple of different ways to enter my trades....so these levels are in the background for now as a possible exit point.

Appears that Aboonacci is heading for some commercial venture....as software already has an expiry...and now planning webinars, etc. A lot of planning and organizing without some payoff. Regardless, if this works out as a good trading approach, good for him.

Here is a comparison of Old Dog calculator (using the 50% of current phase) and Aboonacci end of day targets with most recent calculator.



Interesting...both approaches profitable today, as far as I can tell, as follows:

Old Dog - Sell +27, Buy +71, total +98
Aboonacci - Sell +72, Buy +107, total +179 (assuming to final TP)

GU - has two profitable sell trades...no buy trades using Old Dog calculator. But lived thru some drawdown. I did not check Aboonacci with GU.

Charts now setup and easy to adjust and end of US session for the next session. It's easy to glance at it and keep the targets in mind for other trades you might take.

Of course, the devil for the limit orders will be the stop. Will see.

And guys....if someone's post are bothering you, you can put them on your ignore list and their posts will not display. SkyzerFX makes some good points and is legitimately challenging the approach. Nothing wrong with that, especially since there is some "magical calculation" for the base. I suggest to take "all" comments with a grain of salt and not let things get so personal. As old dog has suggested, there are many many ways to "skin this cat".

Does anyone have an updated breakout template showing higher phases?

This is the whole matter in a nutshell.

I've got the new calc and I note it says clearly that it is only valid for September 2010. This is clearly because it has the various "magic numbers" hard-wired into it.

I don't like this approach. Cyprus is an alarmingly beautiful place. Say young Bobi is bimbling along one day looking out over that stunning bay at Paphos where Aphrodite rose from the waves, and his mind distracted....

...falls under a bus!!!

Then we are all royally screwed. No more Abonacci trading!

For my part, I don't care about the calculator. I don't want to recalculate pivots all day at the end of each 15-min candle. I am quite happy to take one or two good trades a day for 50 or 100 pips then shut down.

The Phase Gap is reasonably straightforward to find (IMHO) as it is just a function of recent volatility.

But the 6,000,000,....... dollar question is the Base line.

If we know how to calculate that, we are in business in a big way.

But since this is Bobi's "crown jewels" I doubt we will learn the secret....

a) i want to be in a position to load a buy order and a sell order each evening and go down the pub 11am-10pm each day and load my orders in again when i come home inebriated at 10pm... hence me clogging the thread to get a breakout rules template defined to make a simple system.

b) base line

"only is calculated from last range of previous month and there is no reference for 0% or 100% . to find 0% , a big calculation is done and then phases are duplicated .
Each month has its own range for phases . sometimes its 122 pips or less and sometimes its 158 pips and is caused from last month's range"

Hello Mr. Old Dog,

If you dont mind me asking, can you explain how do you calculate gaps betwen "phases" in your strategy?

I think many of those who don't agree that they don't get the magic numbers for the month should look for another strategy instead of complaining here.
The thing is, it is free! Never look a horse what you got for free in the mouth!
Be happy that we have peoples in the world who are supporting us and do sit many hours for years in front of charts to figure it all out and share it with the world. Even if I get 1 pip out of it I am happy. Cause 1 pip is still 1+ positive in my account. Just think about it please. Do not worry, patience and learn.

I use the script posted by Squalou. The entries and targets are just horizontal trendline drawn by me for a visual.

Sorry to be the pain here, but I've noticed my other custom indicators are .mq4 files and bobi's is a .tpl. Is that the problem that I'm having and not being able to get his phase indicator to work in my Metatrader?

In the help section it talks about compiling to be able to get a custom indicator to work. The custom indicators I'm using from other sources are listed as .exe files. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Should I be using this indicator on another trading platform instead of metatrader? Thanks for any help here, this has been two days of frustration.

I can post template if you want...I prefer not as often the process of doing the template is the price you pay to make it your own.
