..theres isent even a system yet...just a basic calculator...where you can put what ever number in you want...lol

This is (EDIT: or should I say, was - the posts have just vanished) a Renko chart. It is not a standard MT feature but you can download a free Script/EA that generates this as an offline chart.

Very useful for getting rid of "noise" but has the drawback of destroying the candle patterns which are so useful for confirmation.

Renko tried the method a while ago and I did not adapt. You're in a time of 3 minutes, but in reality are not worth the candles this time, varied widely, this seems to happen for this to work. A long time I am studying the effects of time and the system Abonacci fit perfectly. still studying it to refine the inputs and outputs, but for me it was exactly what I wanted.
And from what I understand so far the value of 1.3534 remains the objective.

well if i was testing a new system and was sceptical or just using common sense i would be using a demo.

did you both use the calculator today?

close 3490 monthly 3470

the levels were sell 3475 target 3423

then

buy 3443 target 3496


guys do this for me. just use the calculator. ignore the lines, indicator template. play with the close figure 3490 and the 50% levels 3597, 3470, 3343, 3216

then try some different phase settings as recommended by sqalou.

once you has proved that any of the closes and hi/los for the whole of august and september from those calculations are clearly unpredictable off the previous month's range and close then im listening.

for now this works and will use it till it doesnt.

if you really get bored i can go over a skype session to send you to sleep on the cycles i have found.

Alright you sell 3475 but best you can get about 25-30 pips out of it.

Only 1 red sure down candle.

Never hits TP, and if you not run out there then it's loss instead of

win. Mind to look over the chart?

BTW that sell 3475 line been broke few times both direction up and down.

sell from 3475 as this mornings trade? it goes to 3423?

heres a picture of what i understand fxsense & liberty did along with old dog.

and i really dont understand best you can get is 30?
The best strategy has to be get 20 pips a day. Get 20 pips a day consistently - day on day, week on week.

and once its moving move your stop to b/e, trail, do whatever! its monday and EU is a bag of shit on mondays.

Hi

I've updated my Script to include GBP/USD Phases for last 4 months.

Aebab, your suggested values for GBP/USD of 1.5400 / 127p seem to me a bit too high.
I tried 1.5350 / 127p and I see it fit better.

What do you think ?

I kept the 127p range for other GU months Phases as well, seems to hold.

I put my own BaseLevel guesses for June (1.4550), July(1.4950) and August(1.5700).
Looks rather good to me...


Just run the script on a EURUSD H1 chart, and GBPUSD H1 chart, it will detect the pair and draw its default Phases.

I also changed the default PhaseRange input to be "-127" instead of "127", this makes the script NOT draw the "floating" Phase that you input, and only draw the defaults.
Use a positive Range value to draw a new manually input Phase.

Let's see how this looks like.

You were supposed to take the sell trade earlier, and if you were not on seat then I guess that's what Pending Orders are for.

Why not simply contribute positively to the thread or give your reservations and not try to whitewash the system, or simply just stay off if you consider it a piece of trash?

this simply shows you don't understand the system at all or that you purposely signed up here to cast aspersions on the system.
i sold using pending orders before london opens...my first tp sell was at 1.3421 but i took profit at 1.3425 and my pending buy ordr triggered at 1.3425 that also hit TP at 1.3497

what are you getting at? do you have anything against the owner of this strategy?...if you have any scores to settle, i suggest u take it out of this thread.

no. tbh im still learning this thing.

i feel as though its constantly evolving and shifting on hi/lo close data to different cycles - i dont think 127 is the number..

for instance the 3423 switch worked out which was a fib number down in pips and it was the actual pivot of the day - coincedence?

it got to the 3495 target area @ 14:15PM GMT - after this im lost... what would you do? what did people do? those that got 100+ pips what would you have done if you hadnt made 100 by that point?

did you change your calculator to 3496? or did you go back to 3490? both giving low breakout sells around the 3475 area? one of which you would have got burnt on?

or as i dont use the blue/white line fibs am i missing something?

maybe a strategy still needs to be worked out? we await the second indicator, but personally am happy with 20pips a day.

can anyone make me a zig zag like the orange lines? pips in fib numbers? i can give you the numbers i want in it?

hey krishelis, just looking at your chart.

i wouldnt be up at 2:00am GMT i would have taken the later trade 7.15 / 8.45 if i hauled my ass out of bed!

what or how did you do around 1:15GMT - NOW are you using price action to confirm like Old Dog? the doji would have been a sell entry imo but it shot back to 3506 - how big is your stop?
there is 5 possible short entries off this 3475 and only one would have worked. which one did you take?

can you show us what you did this afternoon as after 3495 target got hit im lost.

I have been trading Forex profitably for the last 6 years. I have learned a few tricks on FF which has made me really profitable.

What I have experienced is that using the basics (S&R, PA, feel free to ad to this list) combined with some out of the box concepts brings great benefits.

The last couple of years I have been trading based the concept of Median Trading, where I draw a grid at the begining of the month by drawing horizontal lines on the high and low of the month and then dividing the space in between into 4 zones.

I then use the Middle "Median" line as my base line. And do some stuff like looking at price action and Fibos. Noting really carved in stone but just by experience.

This tread has cought my atention because it ads to my arsenal and uses a spot on grid. I would like to contribute my experience this tread if you will have me.

To the starter of this tread Aebab keep up the good work and I don't be stopped by people questioning your insight into the market.
