I watched another internet ponzi scam for a year and it had a different flavor. (they are all over)Much more aggressive in recruiting for money. But, what is the same is you cannot ID the person, both were virtual people. you cannot find Wayne Jackson the businessman anywhere on the net, (well actually there is one) .... In the end of the scam people were screaming they lost money..I still haven't figured out if he kept anyones money. If no one lost money then there is no scam!....So I am inclined to think that you might be right. He was reputable on another Forum long before he came over to FF. He also posted his trades so we all followed him for a long time, so his calls were real to me!...No way this was a 4 or 5 yr scam..He probably started losing money and got cold feet like we all do and bailed...

As for the trades, they didn't make sense to me. I thought they were ill advised in the last couple months. I stopped following him..then this all happened and I never looked at his site till this week.

A good Ponzi scamer thought of all the obvious avenues to be detected. What makes it work is who has jurisdiction and who has the money and time to chase the scamer. It is international incident...No one even knows who they gave their money too.
All the vicitims will just take the loss and go away.. There might be a chance if you can find the scamer and get a class action suit together. Now who is going to organize this? Maybe someone who lost alot of $ but everyone who lost money has to show records they lost $ too....It would be like hearding cats! This will just keep losing steam, a dumb scamer might get caught but not anyone who knows what they are doing...

This was a SCAM right from the start genuine honest people dont use false names and set up companies with no name directors that cant be easily traced

It gives me a bad feeling even thinking about having been a member of his[their] first [tenth?] group who knows how many

"I helped make the SCAM work" and I am not happy about that

But hey I do believe that justice happens in the end

I just hope he has pissed off the wrong person cause then justice will be served alot faster and it will hard seen that thing happen before

I have probably missed out on nearly a year worth of progress here, but whoa.

So I guess me not feeling right about him never bothering to explain an entry / setup / fib 50% where when and how reason ended up in a far bigger bang than I would have thought.

To be honest, it still seems very odd, given the positive reports from various people who were with him, but I guess unless you're actually there with the thing itself, it's kind of hard to know.

As for the copious amounts of J16 slander that seems to be popping up everywhere still, I can only point out that if you actually bothered to read the 10k+ post thread that's supplied for free, it's very darn hard to come out with a negative opinion of anyone involved.

We have had people come out actual pro-traders afterwards (=> the_wizard), we've got regulars who trade for a living using the same basics (bundyraider et al) and we have never forced anyone to do anything.

That's not all though.

There has for years been the offer that if you stayed for over 12 months, you would roll over into free lifetime membership.
For some reason, this seems to just swoosh past all those that constantly rave on about how millions are made from this.
That would only work if you strongly solicited for new members so that you constantly could keep a money influx going, as those that stuck around long term are now no longer paying.

There is a f***ton of pay-per month software, website techs and admin people involved in running a site with hundreds of members, and just from various odds and ends I know about(such as the screensharing/webinar soft etc) I would guesstimate that the costs that go out are so much over zero that it would probably shut up a lot of people if they saw the figure.

It's not a million-making scam, but then again anyone who ever stopped to think about it for longer than it takes to go into angry-internet-rage-man mode or seen an actual business in the real world already knows that.

It's just sad to constantly see "J16 is a selfish million dollar ripoff scam" threads when there couldn't be a more opposite truth to it..

Basically you're just spitting in the face of people who still post to the free public J16 thread constantly, trying to help everyone out as best they can, and soiling the name of someone who actually has done a ton of people a very real good and saved them from continuing to blow out vast amounts of money.

Accordingly I really do hope there is such a thing as Karma.


P.S. If this looks too much like "advertise-hijacking", i.e. if someone feels the need to troll this post as well, I'll just delete it again. I'm thoroughly fed up with all that BS and it's no coincidence I'm less and less inclined to bother with FF.

You do realize that attending a stock trading or options trading seminar will typically cost from $999 to $4999 for 1-3 days, with a few closer to the $10K mark? And you don't get a Slap Chop with them, either...

It all depends if the individual thinks that it is worth the money, not anyone else. People pay tens of thousands for old stamps because they think it is worth it, but I wouldn't pay a penny....but that doesn't mean the people buying are idiots or the people selling are scammers.

You think dog poop is worth a great deal of money and I do not, so I don't buy it from you...end of story. I don't try to convince everyone that dog poop is worthless or that they can get it cheaper somewhere else....I just don't buy it from you.

You win, though, so I will leave you to your fussing. Good luck in your quest to rid the world of all you feel is worthless, though that doesn't leave much time for trading. You may want to consider keeping that book, though....

I have a business associate in the USA who reached the conclusion that practically everyone on the planet is just plain stupid. His hypothesis is that people are so dumb, they'll buy anything rather than figure stuff out for themselves. In order to prove the point, he started a franchise teaching people how to dispose of dog poop.

They send him a few thousand bucks, he sends them a bucket and spade, a pair of overals, some gloves, a pack of business cards and some flyers, and copy for ad to be placed in the local newspaper. How dumb would you have to be in order to pay someone to be taught how to pick up dog poop off a lawn ?

Apparently there is a market for dog poop removal, and I guess if someone was desperate enough to remove dog poop of my lawn for a few bucks then I'd happily pay them too.

There are many parallells between that business idea, and most forex mentors. My friend doesnt own a dog, and he's never actually disposed of dog poop. That didnt stop him knocking up a manual and training materials, establishing a bunch of websites and marketing the idea to a bunch of schmucks too dumb to work out how to clean up dog shite.

A forex mentor really doesnt have to trade to do the equivelent.

Its very relevent though. In my friends case we have someone with no knowledge of dog poop removal charging people thousands to teach them how remove and dispose of dog poop from a lawn, all based on a little research, and some good marketing.

In the case of forex metors we have pretty much the same thing. We have people with no experience of trading, charging people thousands to randomly click a buy or sell button, and again just based on a little research and good marketing.

You'd have to be pretty dumb to pay someone to be taught how to remove dog poop, and you'd need to be equally dumb to pay someone for regurgitated materials you can read in a book.

As I've said previously, there's a market for dog poop removal, so the people buying the dog poop franchise might actually stand a chance of making a living from the training they recieved.

Unfortunately this isnt the case with the people paying the forex mentor. They have no chance of recovering their investment in time or money. Its worse than that though because they generally lose additional time and money due to the bad advice. In addition they are reluctant to give up the information that they think that they've learned, which often prevents them from learning what actually needs to be learned, and often further psychological damage occurs and bad habits are reinforced.

So in summary, for anyone not smart enough to work things out for themselves, the dog poop removal franchise really does look the far better investment.

...to read this in late friday afternoon from a person who is member since sep 2010 and BS about 1k USD year service, whether you find it usefull or not. As one poster mentioned above, 1day entry lvl bank seminar is in different kind of costs - these are peanuts. I dont know if you trade at homeoffice or for some bigger house, but you are giving guys around smile. At least, thank you for that

The level of ignorance on this thread is staggering, as is the way many people are so competent about stumbling over the point and picking themselves up and hurrying on again as though nothing has happened.

I'm a lifetime J16 member. As to whether Jim actually trades, can trade, knows how to spell "trade" without using a dictionary, obviously I cannot say. I have not met him, haven't seen any account statements and neither of those things would make the slightest difference to me in any case.

What I can say is that the quality of the private forum is superb. I can also say that I am trading profitably based on what I have learnt there.

To those that say all the information is available free on the web, please see my point about missing the point. The private forum is a place to learn how to trade - not somewhere to get systems or bits and pieces of information. If you think that you can get everything for free on the internet that you can get in the private forum, I can disprove your theory with one word: MBQB11.

The total cost is ridiculously cheap.

If Jim cannot trade profitably using his own methods, I would be surprised, because I can and do trade profitably using his methods.

I can assure you that the private forum is not a "scam". I have paid what was agreed, received far more than I expected, and have never been solicited for other funds (which would of course not be forthcoming in such an event). Far from being a scam, my membership fee for the J16 PF has been among the best money I have ever spent.

Jacko or whatever you call him is clearly a fraud. Stevie Wonder could see that in the dead of night at the bottom of a coal mine from his "30% Guarantee" alone. The attacks on J16 and his forum, on the other hand, are entirely without merit.
