IN THIS ORDER!!

1.) Study and Master Elliot Wave (how you predict the trend, and when might it end?). Only trade during impluse periods (NOOB)... Wave 1, 3, 5, A, Cs..... Trade other waves (MASTER) Waves 2, 4, B

2) Understand Fib retracements and how they line up Elliot Wave Counts (this give confluence)

3) DAILY, WEEKLY, MONTHLY Pivots (These levels are used by the big banks)

4) How does price action REACT to PSY levels.... BIG Numbers ie 1.5 1.4 1.3, middle ones 1.55 1.45 1.35, small boundaries 1.3980 1.3920 (basically every 20 pips)

5) MONEY AND RISK Management (only risk 2-3% of cash per open trades), if you go up 5% on a day (strongly considering stopping), if you lose 10% during your trading day(STOP!!!!!), take 1 day off and do 100 pushups for being stupid.

6) Select Trading System (Master the Entries and Exits)

7) Consider staying away during BIG news days (like yesterday)

8) Managing trades, I like to use the following formula for S/L, T/P, and Trail.... S/L 300% of ATR(20), T/P (1/2 position) at 2 X S/L, and trail remaining position at .75 of S/L..... So 20pips S/L, T/P at 40 pips, asnd trail at 15 pips after reaching 40 pips. At 20 pips move to B/E...

9) Violate these 8 guidelines you will pay those who do

10) Only look at chart during prime hours (0300 - 1400) est.
AVOID ALL OTHER HOURS

I have been reading this thread carefully (even if I don't use THV system) as there is a lot of very useful information here. Thanks for that.

Hello,

I am new to THV. I am looking for scalp system and currently checking THV.

Could it be that these indicators consume my CPU resource quite a lot ?

I made at templete, putted it on 3 charts. My laptop started to lagg when I switch between charts. (AMD Turion64 two cores)

Thanks for any advice

I always wanted clean chart, where SR and PA are clear. I don't like whistles and bells.
For this reason I have created the cleanest THV template, just TRIX and chart.
If some one would like it, please ask me for the template.

Startman recoded several THV indicators.
They need less CPU resource.
Go to pipware.com and download them.
It`s free.

I think you are talking about trix. For his trix Startman uses "hot" parameter 1.2.
THV V3 uses 0.7 THV V4 uses 1.2.
1.2 is a bit faster.

like many traders i have tried every damb trading system on forex factory, one day i last week i put bill williams accelorator indicator on a thv chart. i strated to look at the chaos buy and selll setups then the light bulb went off. the best setups showed wheb the fast trix changed color. so i identified the two best trade setups off thv trix......


the best trades exploits other traders fear and greed, so i demand trends and high volume. if price action is flat i do way too many pushups!
