My Demo account was down for a while today, My live account has been just fine...

I don't believe I would base my choice of brokers on a "Demo" account....

The point is if a broker cannot provide much more attractive service on a demo account then how the real can be better.

Of course we all know (at least those of us who have live account/s) there are usually some discrepancies between demo and live accounts. If the discrepancies are big then I usually take sharp exit from that broker.

GoMarkets is a great broker in my opinion... I've seen perfect correlation of live and demo accounts with them as well across many currency pairs. No, I don't receive any introducing broker fee for saying this. Good luck KennyZ

are you for real, they look like a bucket shop with no regulation..... yeh let get 1.50 round turn till they run off with our funds, their site barley even works.... address in Panama, my god are you sane? You really hear it all on FF these days............

Yeh I like all other have been having a roller coaster lately BUT, have Go been there and helped me on every trade that was an issue, yes they have. I have had a three trades that messed up but Go cash corrected two and and reentered me on the third.

I can tell you now when things...

here you go, its time for some lessons in brokers for you before you start with the 'bucket' shop talk and your reference to panama, you really are like most retail traders when it comes to your knowledge of MT4 brokers and how they operate/can operate and the countries they choose to operate out of and why. some of those countries have stricter regulations then the US..the general public is mostly unaware.

please do yourself a favor and educate yourself before making remarks as you have above, you seem smarter than off the cuff remarks like you posted.

http://www.mbtsoftware.com/community.../webinars.aspx

no you wont get all the answers from this but it will help you some...There are many thungs a true STP or ECN broker cannot offer you

the connection issue as well as the execution issue with these guys had not been solved in months...because it cant be, that should be a clue

I looked hard at them and saw customer service that did address the issues but never solved them only brushed over them with pat answers but no solutions....read through the thread and you will see the same ole same ole on the disconnect issue...same thing as now but never fixed, execution remains horrible, simple horrible, I have friends that are live so yes i have first hand knowledge there..

nuff said and i am done with this conversation now...do yourself a favor and ask question and call a live person before you slam another broker....you might be surprised at the answers you get as well as the execution/spreads and safety of funds , it might just be an "AHA" moment in your trading business

I am going to start live with Go Markets as they match all my criteria, there is no perfect solution, tell me the perfect solution and I am there. I have been at this broker thing for a while and I like other brokers too but they want $10k to start a forex account and I don't have it right now but I have $500 and they will let me trade with that. Their leverage is great and spread is on average for around 1.5 to 2 pips for eurusd. They have had their issues but as long as they make things right, that's good for me and they will get the issues clear if they want to stick around. Overall I want them to have different withdraw options like IBFX does but all in time.

GOmarkets is a good broker, but only on paper. its regulated, no boring nfa restrictions, high leverage, zero deposit limit, narrow spreads. but its technology and speed of connection, the most important factors for an online trader, are very poor. about 3 weeks, they can't handle server issues. ok, may be they are working on it, but thats a very very very long time for forex, this is unacceptable. i have a live small balanced gomarkets account, my ea can't open trades because of connection problems expacially on news time.
i hope they will solve server problems soon. i really want to trade with gomarkets. but i can't trust now

do yourself a favor and look at the prior post on a broker..please do your own scouting as well and ask the hard questions then download a demo and see for yourself what a real STP can give you

Hello TMac,

How are the clients funds handled? Are they insured, kept in segregated accounts etc? I tried to click on chat with the broker but they had no one available.

i stand corrected here, they are held in either hong king the USA or the UK or panama depending on where you live. pm me if you want more information

and no i am not paid for referrals, i am happy with these guys

any one remember FXLQ?? regulated, certified etc etc, all that means little no matter what country you are from or where they are licensed/regulated

apoc your link from panama can be replicated many times from the good ole usa also where forex brokers have scammed people over and over again regulated or not. What you dont know is that pamana has far stricter banking regulations than the USa has..look into that before you run your mouth

Just tried to run go mt4 again but no go:

There has been a critical error
Time : 2010.09.21 02:23
Program : Client Terminal
Version : 4.00 (build: 226, 24 Mar 2009)

Just a friendly advice, if you have the resources hire a qualified tech person and use needed hardware. If you don't have the resources you should either scale it back or consider taking on different business something you can comfortably manage.

I think you are right on this. I was testing some EAs, I suspect the cause of the crash may be that rather than your server issues. I'll try to check and find the culprit.

I used to have an account with go markets a while ago. However due to the constant restarts, "server upgrades" servers going down and lengthy withdrawal times caused me to move on. I dont know why clients put up with it! when there are lots of other brokers out there. I've moved to www.gmfx.com.au - there servers dont restart!
I have a dedicated account manager there who I call direct - so far so good.

Wow, that is a sales pitch if ever I have seen one! I wonder if the moderators have seen that? I just downloaded the demo after this 'review' and the spreads are wide, FXCM in disguise?

I have withdrawn money from Go 4 times now, and seeing as I also bank with NAB the funds have been in my account the same day on 3 times and once the next day. How do gmfx get it to you, carrier pigeon?

( Agree with steph sounds like a sales pitch.)

I saw the above post and thought new Aussie MT4, went to website and looked at them thought look ok, then I saw the corporate rep, (alarm bells) they don’t even have their own License! So I downloaded the demo to compare to GoMarkets, spreads are crap!!!!!! I can’t scalp of that massive cable spread! The thing with a corp rep is safety of funds, and other thing is read the pds they don’t even tell what acc the funds are in. Just tell you they follow cooperation’s act, and mention moving client funds around?

I called Got Money at 6:48pm to find out more about them and I went to a answering service, yes a freakin answering service at 6:48pm Melb time.... come on whateva.... that’s reason enough for me to say forget it with Got Money, what the hell type of name is Got Money anyway? sounds like HYIP, not a FX broker, after that I will be giving them a miss.

Today there were no issues with Go I noticed I hope that’s the end of it.... The last few days have been rough but the spreads and professionalism of the company is what keeps me a client. (for now)

Tmac,

That Panama bucket shop you listed (InovaTrade), I would never send a 1$ that that place. Regulated in Panama give me a break is that a joke? The global site didn’t work, I then I can’t click in to US section so I added it in the address bar. Then read the terms, not that there where much.... all disputes in case of default dealt in the court at Panama, ha ha ha aha aha yeh I am going to fly to Panama to take a shell company to court.... They have no PDS on their site no details about were funds are, and I did open a account. Your ment to read the PDS before you sign up It was not available for me. Plus VIP accounts this is pure bucket shop marketing.

Off their website;
15. BANKRUPTCY
In case of bankruptcy Licensor shall have the right to reject any license agreement thereby terminating all Licensee’s rights under it. Any legal provision in applicable jurisdiction that has effect of preserving Licensee’s rights is expressly excluded.

WTF That sounds like an out clause to me.

I tried to go on live support told me it was available, but I gave up waiting for a rep after 5im 20 sec....... very professional....

I read up on FX companies in Panama, and it’s scary they can hide and disappear with no probs at all. You are mad trying to get people to go to them.

You must make a bit referring clients to em Tmac..... I see you mentioned you have several already.

Light reading on the topic
http://www.panama-guide.com/article....09040513525754

So if you call that a ‘ahh ha’ moment in FX trading you need help, Muppet............... good luck making money off referral rebates cuz I doubt you make anything trading.

Cheers
