DislikedI have acted on the idea posited by one of my students to whom I have been teaching NB's system.
He is trading manually whilst running this robot on a separate account. He pointed out that I was warning him sternly about the danger of over-trading, whilst at the same time helping him set up the robot on as many charts as we could find.
He suggested a maximum no of trades allowed setting, so the latest update in post 1 includes the MaxTradesAllowed input. This applies to all trades open on the account regardless of their source. It is...Ignored

DislikedHehe. Have a look at the backtest. The only way I could differentiate between 'trend' trades and 'proper' trades is not to send a tp with the trenders.
There is only one of them, but look how successful it was.
This cannot stand a realistic chance of being successful long-term - it is much too simple. We shall see. The attached allows us to play around and see.
NB will manage loosing trenders with Recovery, so I am going to run a longer backtest in the hope that some will need it.

DislikedHey Steve, I've been noticing that with using white line closure = true, it will often close pairs that had been ranging for a few days as soon as it hit a couple of pips profit. That is a jolly nice and everything since it usually runs out of steam on the retrace but is there a way you could include the swap cost in before accounting it as "profit" so that we aren't losing a couple of pips here and there due to swap costs?Ignored
