The attached chart just has to be a thing of beauty to behold.

Although the candle today is far from complete lets for the sake of this say it has.

The way price has retraced back to 1.4 pyscho just where it also finds our good friend the 20ma and today proceeds to continue on its journey south.

That my friends is tradeable PASR, and i will be doing something about that next week.

An IB means many things depending where it is in the current PRICE trend.

Since the Shooting Star is STILL in control, the IBs here are just PAUSE bars.

Always use controlling PA bars rather than trying to figure what other bars mean

Thank you, once more, for you input Strat.

Eyes on PA bars surely, but also looking at the greater picture trying to figure out the context around these bars.

Dear "Trogger" looks to me that all /USD pairs are to watch. Something is afoot! (Big turn next week?)

I remember that strat told us that we should keep an open mind and challenge
everything you are told . Now after learning this thread some time ,
i just have some ideas from it. Use the same method in a different
time frame .of course ,we will use the PA and S&R as usual, but just in a
short time frame ,i just think the PASR is applicable in a short time .
so the changing is the big boss is weekly chart ,the boss is daily chart ,
and the worker is 4h chart. I am a newbie of forex ,and i know very little ,
but less experience is not the obstruction to exploring . I will paper
trade with this method. And just need your suggestions .

Thank you very much .enjoy your weekend .

I know your intention is to learn and see more PA on 4 hour chart but it is a lot harder. By thinking go lower time, you have unintentionally violated the very important rule is patience. I know I do it myself too when I caught myself checking the lower time fame, I have a little talk to little people. You don't know it, you are training yourself to be patience by sticking to Monthly, Weekly, and daily. You and I, we don't have big accounts but we have a lot of time.

I keep on reading and studying the thread, and focusing again on the very basics, shooting stars and hammers on daily and weekly.... and their possible " bond " appearance.

I will post more once I have catched up and re-read a lot where I have made notes.

Everyone have a nice weekend !

NZD/USD:

This is an interesting formation, but would not necessarily indicate bearish pressure, it could be an exhaustion candle that according to Pring gets a bullish thrust alongside the top shadow. We will see....

HI geniusztc,

I think we have all had a go around with the lower time frames at on time or another. I understand the idea of watching the lower TF to learn PA but it is a lot less reliable. The candles can be distorted by announcements and such too easily, while the daily candle usually absorbs these events[ exception this weeks Yen intervention]. For me the whole point of the longer TF is that I don't have to be glued to the screen all day and sweating[ and swearing !]

Good luck, Poncho

From August 22 resumed the uptrend.
Double top, but the swing low this week has not yet been confirmed.
Expect something to support 7180ish.

Since you step into low TF, maybe your can focus on few pairs.
just work on 3-5 pairs.

in fact , I learn trading use 15Min time frame at the beginning that I meet forex.

The result were predictable that I burned my account.

So, I wouldn't use the time frame which blow the Daily to be worker.

---
This time, I was wondered maybe the experience of burning account is a part of the Path to learn trading.

Hey Activer,
If i remember correctly, one of the reasons Strat started this thread was to help people in this very difficult game from blowing their hard earned, wasting time and from the untold frustation.
In this thread he helps us learn from his mistakes and breakthrough's etc.
Most experienced traders have been where we are, thinking we are smarter and can beat the game, only to burn. If you dont learn from their mistakes and experience, especially when its handed to you, then you may as well give in to this venture now.
Price Action at Support and Resistance is more reliable the further up the time frames you go. Not only this, you also have more time to plan trades etc. This is especially important when learning.
Do your self a favour and take the advice, if you become a master on the daily's (worker) and above you can always drop down later.
PASR student.

I still get a chill thinking about the emotional deep dark hole I put myself in when trading the lower time frames. It also made me distant from my beautiful son and daugther even when they were just born. It was also bad for one's health. It is not worth it at all. Maybe, it is just me.

All this talk of shorter timeframes only proves that you lack the patience to wait for the right setups.....PA at SR. And it shows that you lack the discipline to stick to the rules of Strat's methodology being taught here.

Maybe a trip back to the beginning of the path is in order....Or we can just give you our account #'s and you could wire us your money everytime you want to place a trade. I'm sure Strat wouldn't mind that.

It's an overwhelmingly positive feeling when your spouse says they've seen the improvement along the 5 phases of a trader. So I'm a firm believer in this method and staying with the daily and above. And also the 90% that controls us....PSYCHOLOGICAL. Learn to deal with the little people, and you're over 90% home free.

Enjoyed the 5 phases of a Forex Trader. Of course unless you have been there you won't believe it!

The average account loss is rumoured to around £30,000 or $45.000
I would suggest that coming back from losing that amount of money would
defeat 99% of those that find themselves in that position.

Many people I have emails from have spent $2,500 to $10,000 plus on training,
Gurus, trading systems, books, astological help, Gann followers, Elliot wave followers, moon phases, and of course a few well know experts.

It took me years to work out, and prove to myself, that all the above was a pile of shit.

So now I have been learning a new system PASR.

Well I hope I am now close to trading the PASR way, with real money as usual, there is a lot to learn and a lot to unlearn.

Patience is the key, so if your starting out as a trader don't give up your day job, trying to trade with no money coming in puts far too much pressure
on you! How do I know? I tried it a long time ago.
