I see the traffic, but I am always on the look out for fixed targets and if the trade gets there I am out and onto the next trade. Those FTAs you have marked are enough to make money out of this.

My pick for monday is a countertrend PB on the Ozzie daily. Not a great close, but off the RNB @ 9400, at a swinghigh. Last week Ozzie took 4 attempts to close above the 9400 but didn't manage that. FTA is the PPZ @ 9280 at the gap, also a nice oppertunity for price to close the gap which could act as support now.

Looking for a short on the EUR/USD this week. Price just retested the break of the daily bull trendline and formed a bearish PB of resistance as well as at the 61.8 fib. I will be looking for entry on a retrace. probably at 50% of bar of better if I can get it.

Anyone else of this opinion?

I have recently changed over to MacPro and now I cannot view the recorded webinars. As I could not solve the problem even after "googling" the problem, I approached the local Apple reseller and even they could not solve it except find the root cause. It seems that the current Webinars are recorded/uploaded in wmv format using the MSS2 codec, which is not supported be MacPro. One of the solutions offered by them is that format for the Webinar is changed to another format.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Informatively, with the kind assistance/ suggestion of other traders I have been able to install virtualbox (freebie ) and run the MT4 o the Virtual Machine using Windows XP.

And another question for James16

What are the chances of having some webinars for the students/traders in the Far East. I would suggest the start timing around 1400GMT or 2100GMT as this would ensure the webinar is conducted outside our office timing.

PS Have just found a post from MIKE regarding playing webinar videos on Mac. Will go thru same and revert if problem is solved.

Here's what I found to work for me (I'm on a mac right now running leopard)


1. Download MPlayer here:

http://code.google.com/p/mplayerosxe...nded_rev11.dmg

2. Install Mplayer essential codec package.

http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html


For whatever reason, I was unable to get anything else to work (VLC, WMP for Mac, etc.), but so far it looks like it works great. I think it should work for Snow Leopard as well.

Also, a workaround is to use parallels and WMP.


Windows Media Player for mac is different than Mplayer.

Now I realise using Flip4MAc i can watch your webinars but cannot watch SeekingLight's webinar. Which means Flip4Mac works for Macpro and as such some changes will have to be made to seekinglights webinar recording.
BTW where did you pot the webinars on Oanda which you had tweeted sometime back.

Hi General Mike and others, Cong. on the thread's 5000pgs. After watching those videos on j16 site, it is practice time. Gen, in the attach chart i try to draw the ppz, aqua lines are weekly ppz, while magenta lines are ppz on daily. Pls are they correct? I note James draw them or talk about drawing it on BRN, so pls what about those area that are not RN. How important can they be? Pls i need correction if i'm wrong. Thanks

They look good to me. Some senniors adjust the PPZ's to nearest BRN/s or VBRN's.

Please make a note that PPZ are zones rather than single lines. If you see PPZ at 1.5990, it makes sense to draw it at 1.6000.. since this is closest VBRN and can play a significant role.
VBRN's (Mike's Favorite)makes a great role in this thread..

exactly thanks C, and lining them up with round numbers helps take some of the subjectivity out and also gives a more definitive area to watch. This is why I also love them

ads on weekly. stock is in a sideways market since about 4 months now. rejected once more from the 44 eur. forming a small pinbar. the bar itself is not that great, but the location is. sl above the resistance.
fta 40 euro. next 38,50 euro.
if it hits sl, you can long and play the breakout.

0.9442 was ideal entry (based on smaller TF), I wish I was awake..

Below is one of my friend's early entry on usd/chf from a couple of days ago. It takes a bit of 'preparation' to know when and how to get in, but once you're in, you are not only listening to the music.... but also playing it..
Some might see a falling knife and run, other simply catch the knife and throw it back...

regarding finviz.com, I found out how to do the hammer, but how do I make it search on Forex? When I go to the Forex tab, I can't play around with the graph at all. What do I change in the options on the screener to only Forex?

FTA stands for First trouble area. These are HIGHLY probable areas where price is likely to go and can also reverse with these price patterns/locations. Price can usually get to these first areas and are a good way to begin to build a method around the analysis of support/resistance and price bars

price has been in a range since about a year. now it has broken the high and closed as a pinbar. after this long ranging market, i would expect a strong break without any return into the ranging-zone.
therefore imho a good setup to short with sl above weekly high and fta above 600 gbp.
