What kind of music you hear while you trade?

Nice tunes on a rainy friday.

I mostly listening TMF Yearmixxes.They are great.Every kind of music in them.My favourite is TMF 2001. If I'm sick of it I listen to trance then.

If you had studied how the brain works and you accept the current understanding of how that may be...why would you trade with music?

You are effectively pairing visual information that may or may not be random, with music which is harmonious mathematics turned sound.

How is your brain going to pick up on valuable market information, when you are overloading it with music?

If you want to stay free from emotions, why play music, which after all has its ultimate intent in creating emotions?

The current findings are that your conscious has about 40 bits per second processing ability. So you are drowning those 40 bits with music? Because the other fact is that different senses have different bit stream allocations, which is tuned through millions of years of evolution.

Then, we have you lot watching youtube. So your brain is sitting there trying to predict how a video will play out rather than trying to predict how the market is going to play out. Totally double drowned in information that have no causality with the markets you try to make money out of.

There are several experiments that prove that silence is your best friend while trying to learn something. True, some people achieve better with classical music but most don't.

I found it quite interesting that forexmusic while giving you distraction also tries to punt some trading gear for you.

Quite as I would have expected it to be.

Oh, and if you go completely ballistic reading this and is ready to hit the reply button and fire off an angry reply then please note that 99% of your processing power is unconscious and that feelings is what the unconscious produces to make you do things that your conscious won't figure out itself. Flaming emotions is usually a sign that there is something your conscious is rejecting or refusing to accept as true, despite your unconscious having figured it out ages ago.

You got that right. Some achieve better with music, others don't. Some with classical music, some with pop music, some with trash metal.

Maybe this thread is for those who want to listen to some music. Maybe it's not you. No problem anyways.

Sounds like a plan I saw Aerosmith in 2002 in Vegas. I know this is shameful to say but the best thing about the concert for me was Kid Rock and Run DMC who were the support. Kid Rock was awesome. I didn't even know who he was but one of the first things I did when I got back to the UK was to buy his album "Cocky" and it's still one of my favourite CDs. And I saw this band in '88 (I think it was) in NZ and they were fabulous. This is how I remember them. I was so jealous of his hair - lol! Enjoy GNR this weekend.





And there are not a lot of songs from Cocky on YouTube. Very disappointing. Found one though. It's a soppy one. Sorry guys.
