In this case the stop/target were initially really tight but correctly calculated, the EA tried to send the order, the server answered "invalid price" because in the meanwhile it had changed of 9 pips, the EA recovered from this error by resending the order at the new price but the stop loss previously calculated was now too near to the new calculated price, thus leading to error 130. This situation is tricky and can be solved via EA by always checking stop/target distances before sending any order, even after price recalculations. Something interesting to work on.

The EA clears all the state variables and removes the existing orders when the freshstart parameter is set to true and the latest reason for uninitialization was "expert removed from chart". So if the latest reason for EA uninitialization was different, even if the freshstart parameter is set to true the EA state is not cleared. With a demo account you can experiment a little to see if it behaves as it should. The reason for this decision is that I wanted the freshstart option to be taken into account only when the EA is first attached to the chart, and not for any other reasons of EA restart.

The part of the log that you have posted is not meaningful.
Please post the entire log (do not take a screenshot of your desktop with the log file open but attach to your post the entire txt log file).

Asasa, I hope you can figure out why the EA wants to restart itself with the log I posted. I tried to put up the other log but the file is to big and it won't let me download it to the post. Sorry!!

At the time indicated in your previous post there are no strange operations, the EA was simply attached to the chart and it started trading normally. No order was deleted. The freshstart parameter was set to false. You should indicate at what time you had the supposed strange behavior.

If the log is too big, remove the non-relevant old lines.
The important thing is that the interesting part is not removed.

Asasa, I found where the malfunction happened in the log that is posted. I went and looked at the time that is posted on the account history where the trade is recorded on the MT4 platform. If you go back and look at the log that I posted earlier today for the GBP/USD you will see it there. When you open it go down to today's date and look at the time beginning with 20:25:42 and look through 20:30:50 and you will see the trade and the exit. I look forward to hearing what you find out why the trade just exited without hitting any TP or SL. I also found the malfunction in the other trade as well. If you need to look at it also, I will try to post it if you need it. But hopefully you can see what is going on with what you look at on the other log. Just let me know. Thanks!!

Did anyone using the EA catch this trade? I was looking through todays setups and I did not get this trade for some reason.

All the open long positions were exited because the slope direction line was decreasing, according to the exit rules of the strategy.
Here we have found a flaw in the strategy itself (not in the EA), since the entry conditions do not check the slope direction line indicator and it can happen that when a position is opened the slope direction line immediately triggers an exit signal.
The EA is just following the original strategy rules.

At first look, it seems that the Laguerre indicator crossed the 0.15 level one candle before the up arrow. The original strategy says to first wait for the arrow, then the Laguerre indicator crossing the reference level.

Regarding the bar (2010.09.01 10:45:00) you posted the log for, the Laguerre indicator was still below the 0.15 level, and the most recent arrow was a down arrow, therefore the entry conditions were not met. You should post the log for the next few candles... See you tomorrow, it's 00:38 here.

Asasa, thanks for checking things out. It's good to find out about all these things that can affect the EA's performance. I'm just curious, as you find out about these different things will you be updating the EA from time to time with enhancements?

I will post an updated version this weekend probably.
It will fix some of the problems of the EA.
Right now I don't know if it's a good choice to also modify the strategy itself, even if we found some flaws in it (e.g. the slope direction line issue).

looking through the experts tab, the majority of the orders on 30m frame arent going through, 131 errors. looks about 2 orders out of 3 since yesterday, not as many on the 5 but a few here and there. testing on an ecn demo account(fxopen).

Error 131 means invalid trade volume.
As usual, if you post the log file, what happened will be clear.

I have attached the 2 log files in a zip, not sure exactly what part was needed so here are the full files. Below is error in the expert tab on the 30m demo, one order did happen to go through last night. Hope this can help.

Asasa, You had mentioned that this weekend you probably would post an updated version of the EA. I was just wondering if there is a way to code the EA so it will only allow one trade at a time for a currency pair. What I mean by this is right now the EA has opened 3 separate trades, for a total of 6 positions, in the AUD/USD. They all are running at the same time. Could you code it so if there is already an open position in the specific currency it won't put on a trade in that currency pair until the current open position is complete. But at the same time it could still open up 1 trade at a time on different currency pairs. Thanks!!

All those open positions in a single currency pair, AUD/USD, closed out for a loss of almost $800. That is not good and not good money management. Something has to be done different or you could lose a lot of money fast. It may not happen very often, but when it does it's not pretty.
