Anyone know of a "real time" fx news website or tv station?

Are there any real time news websites or tv channels that are dedicated to fx related economic announcements? If not, how are the market makers able to get their news so quickly? Thanks for any info.

I am interested in this also. Seems that I can only get my hands on older news and the news feed from my broker is no good. Appreciate input on this subject.

Bloomberg TV provides real time coverage on for major economic reports, moreover, they air the speeches of the people like Greenspan, Bernanke, Trichet whose words affect the markets...

In my opinion, the best place to get the data from is where it is actually coming from...For example, most US economic data comes from the US Census Bureau, so you'd better check there at the time of major economic releases...

Some time back, when you had to pay for data feed, you had 3 choices.

End of Day.
10-30 minute Delay
Live Tick.

Obviously, the cost of such service was reflected in your selection.

Market Makers get the report at the same time as the News Broadcasters {Assuming they pay based on the same fee structure} Market makers are trading while Broadcasters are loading their sites.

IF you can still get a 30 day demo acct from RfcoFex {sp}, they offer Thomson's Newswire as a plugin. Fast. Concise. With details that follow.

Whenever I see a fast move on any Curr Pair I click on the News plugin on my taskbar & there is usually an explanation there already.
Of course I have it up on my screen just prior to known report releases.

Thompson is the best I've found. Email them and get a free 30 day trial as well. They also sell subscriptions. There news releases on Econ. reports has abot a 5 minute lag. Dow jones is immeadiate but I prefer Thompson as it is much more insightful and full of technical data.
