Well, the Euro has worked its way into a corner again. Here are some places to watch out for when analyzing signals, in my opinion. Remember that when you are trading a hourly trendline on the 1m chart, it's more like an area to watch, not necessarily exact to the pip, so you want to combine a bounce break in that area with a strong THV signal like one based on more than one timeframe, and with fresh momentum, and preferably a retest.

Hi Chiba san,

Here is a zip file with the indicators you need and a template that configures them. You will also be able to use the Swiss Army histo to get an alarm when both the 5m trix and the 15 m trix have turned the color of the 1m trix, if you use eperiodtype both ( type 15), which changes color when both trix lines change to the same color. For example you can set row one to use 1m fast, row 2 to use 1m slow, row 3 to use 5m both, row 4 to use 15m both, set maxscore to 4 and turn the alarm on. Then you will get an alarm when all the trix lines on the 1,5, and 15 m tfs are the same color.

If you need to use any of the other eperiod types you will need to search my previous posts for the other helper indies, and ditto if you need more info about the alarm (for example how maxscore works).

Hi Rohule

If your mean TRADING THE NEWS, it depends on the type of news. There is also trading the build up to the news and trading the news itself. There are lots of threads in FF that discuss it, so i won't continue it further.

But I will say this, this is VERY High Risk Trading, and you should only trade if you understand the impact of the type of news you are looking at.

Quick example .... "BOJ is being pressured into intervention" if you fully understand what this means and what pairs it affects and the effects of just making this statement, then you have only scratched the surface of the knowledge you need to trade the news with confidence.

Off course there are some guys that would just give the trades ... and then the no brainer trades ... NFP


If you meant trading with THV around news time, then it also depends on the news.

Hi, I'm new to this system and prepared to try it, planning to try it on renko based charts rather than a 1m or 5m chart as I'm pretty comfortable on price based charts.

Just a couple of annoying and dumb questions. Sorry.

1. Is anyone making consistent gains using THV system?
2. Where is the V4 Manual, i only find the V3 manual on the 1st post.

the v4 manual is on the first page as well...i believe. v4 and v3 are virtually interchangeable but v4 has more bells and whistles.

some help reading the ADX please.

lets say you are in a buy trade. and both the adx and the green line are above 25, does what direction they are pointing matter?

and as an example, m1, m5, m15 all green on trix, but the adx below 25, but the green line is above 25, and the red is below zero, pointing up.

a lesson in reading the ADX relative to using thv if you dont mind, sir.

When im trading the direction the ADX and Di is important. You do not want to get into a trade where the ADX line is above 25 but pointing down. THat shows that the trend currently has no strength. The perfect textbook trade with ADX is when both are pointing up at a 45 degrees angle.

I suggest you watch the ADX video that Tread posted. For me, i ONLY take signals where both THV and ADX lines up. Anything where there is uncertainty then could be a risky trade. I tend to take the risky trades ONLY if the DI is above 25 pointing the right way with ADX not far off 25 WHEN ADX and DI on the 5 min is above 25, ie a trend continuation move on the 1 min.

Best thing for you is add ADX from the standard indicators in MT4 and look back historically on your chart. Its the only way you will learn. STart to notice the patterns between ADX and THV signals. Then when an alert comes you can spot things quickly to execute the trade.
