No,Vasi ,ea do not work standalone but only in H1 trend direction and with function "manual confirmation"on.

That is right.Tread gave you accurate explanation of how it should work.My setup is useless because it requires support and analysis.It is a semi-automatic trading in a specific time.Best for you that have made your own THV trading method and through him, set ea.

It's very nice to see the addtional two filters in EA V1.13.But would you pls advise how do they work?

it's nice that your method is doing well. This is a THV EA beta testing thread. I think Tread's goal is to optimize the EA that he modified to somehow automate the decision making process. We're happy that your doing well but if you could share the strategy you use together with the EA Tread has modified, maybe he can fine tune some details to work better.

I modified the signal reverse parameter to 'True'. So far so good. There are now positive trades and i'm up by .91 with 4 trades opened just this morning (i'm on GMT+8).

unlike the others i only have this on 10 pairs my mininote can't handle more.

Hi Midi

The Damani Volatmeter was designed by Luis Guilherme Damiani. The purpose is to keep you out of the choppy market.

For a manual trader recognizing this is not a problem, this indicator allows the EA to "see" the choppiness.

This indicator when set right, is also designed to keep you out of a Ranging Market ..which is what we want since the EA is trend based.

The Indicator is design based upon ATR and Standard Deviation.

The basic setting for the indicator works well for the chop, but you can play with it to come up with the best setting to detect the Ranging. I have not had time to come up with the setting for the ranging...got my fingers in to many pies

The ADR_3 this is my take on using the ADX on in MTF.

Best way is an example, Let say we want to go short, this means the -DI (of the ADX) should be rising and the +DI decreasing.

However the -DI hardly ever remains in the upwards movement, it fluctuates, while still increasing. So if we are trying to measure this (from the EA) we could possibly keep our self out of the market or enter late.

So.. the best way is to enter the SHORT is when we are sure that the +DI is heading Down and is less than the -DI, and we make this comparison on the 3 time frames.

It also measure the ADX of the above TimeFrame such that the ADX is greater than or equal to the ADXLevel parameter. This ensures that you are not just entering into a trend on current timeframe, but the timeframe above. Manually the trader may ignore the the higher TF, but the EA needs this confirmation to increase the probability

tkx for your patient clarification. It seems the two filters work much better than before,especially the ADX part. I'm going to do some test in coming days.

Here is my new set for 15M. very simple. not so much killing deposit. but here is why he bought it. I do not understand why. Do you have some idea?

With regards to the Setfile, You are not using much higher TF confirmation .... only saw the M30 Fast Trix, which is not much, so you will be prone to false triggers.

Remember, when we are in M1 we usually use signals from 2 Time Frames to confirm. I noticed you had the lower M5, but not M1, it is always a good design to ensure that you have at Least the M1 fast and M5 Fast.

Think about it, the M1 fast is the lowest you can get, you do not want to go "Long"(Green) and the M1 is short(RED) because it would say, that the most current price trend is different from what you trading

Also with regards to your last question, a cross of the two trix tf, That is not part of the EA.

hi guys ,
i have been using THV for months, and now i would like to try on EA THV.
i have a few questions.
I have installed EA THV v.o8 .
1.How to start with automated trades.Do i need just to load a template and mark a field allow live trades , and let it work?
2.do i have to go to a expert advisor in a tool bar?
I have loaded a template ...but i am not sure is it working!
Help to be helped.

Your set file specifies "FastSlowTrixCross=2010", aside from the trix being the same color. If you looked you would notice that for the period you have shown, the trix cross did not line up with the trix pattern you have.

Oz, use the backtest feature to test out you setfiles, just choose the day before as the time period and see if it takes the entries you want.

Then go back in tweak.

This is incorrect.... because you a using a higher time frame signal on a lower, it will frequently change colors, because it goes thru a range a values. Example, when the time frame completes, the red condition may no longer be present then the value would be green. This "repainting" is typical, it does not mea that it is incorrect

However, The CALCULATIONS are done internally and the triggers are based on the calculated value, backtest works.

Your set file indicated that you want TrixCross to be present. based on the Chart there were only 5 of those crosses during that period. When these occurred the other values you wanted was not present, so no trades were taken
