No, I do not work for them and I am not soliciting money. I just learned the hard way as people on this thread did.
This is how legitimate managed funds are set up, I never see the money or ever touch a check. I don't appreciate the bashing I got, but then again, I should have expected it stepping into such a hot subject. I apologize if I offended anyone, it was not my intention.

another opportunist, blah blah blah, there should be no posters allowed that manage funds, this is how they start. The sooner stopped, the less the spread of damage.

HAHA, they don't just take anybody in, he is judicial as to who he selects to invest with him...what's the criteria? Gullibility?

Blog posted on wordpress.com same as blogspot.com public blog....let's see has a company that manages funds but does not have his own website. Sounds familiar?

this is silly. if there's going to be a Commercial section at all, then any kind of commercial venture related to trading should be on topic and allowed there.

On any given day I can go to craigslist and find postings like these:

Caveat Emptor. If cl can do it, why not FF?

the good thing about allowing such postings on an open forum is precisely because there will be healthy criticism. If there had been a thread in the Commercial section set up specifically to discuss the performance and legitimacy of various fx funds then perhaps the obvious shortcomings of jacko's venture would have come to light much sooner and some of these people might not have lost their money...

Why is there a Commercial section on FF? If it is not going to be allowed to become something useful to everyone then it should just be scrapped altogether.

Please don't post anything from my blog, it's not your's to do so. I do more than FOREX and any investment adviser will tell you that you do your research on both who and what you invest in as well as who and what you invest for. As for a website, you are right I don't have one, because I am not soliciting any business. I write on my blog my thoughts and ideas, not to get peoples money, if you spend any time on there and read it you would know that.

I actually indicated in my post that I make mistakes in writing, I was simply asking that people at least try to proof read their posts, that is all. And you are right I don't have to be here anymore and I most likely won't be.

You can't compare FF to craigslist. They are from different planets...in craigslist people place a one or two line ad...nobody vouches for the ad or posts how good the results are, and there are limits on how often the ad can be posted or it is removed....in FF, it is much different, here the poster has unlimited space to tell a story, can post about great trades often and for years, has cronies corroborating the stories, posts a trading system, and so on....in other words, here they build a long term relationship where the scammer has the oppotunity to gain the trust of the scammed.

Conclusion, cannot compare FF to CL.

He has a point. You didn't refute what he said...

Commercial means you're selling something -- that's it. You can sell money management services just as much as you can sell "mentoring" services, Forex books-on-tape, or access to a "Private Forum".

Do you buy the first LCD TV that pops up at Amazon? Do you put your money in the first random 5-letter ticker you can find on Yahoo Finance? Do you leave your kids with a babysitter you find on the side of the street saying "will work for food"?? No, you do RESEARCH.

You find out a) is the fund registered/regulated b) is the person running it registered with authorities c) does the person have any professional designations, a criminal record, decent experience/education, does he have decent infrastructure/support? d) Is the fund audited and if so, by a reputable accounting firm e) You meet & interview the manager if you're depositing a substantial sum of money and on...and on...and on.

Money management is a fine business but there's a big difference between investing with Blackrock, State Street, Fidelity, etc vs. "Jackson Fortress blah blah" registered in Hong Kong without even an office-front.

Oh one other point... Garrye's posts are impossible to read. He may think it's avante guard to write in a stream-of-consciousness state but for the rest of us we use capital letters and periods to denote the beginning & end of a coherent thought. He should try it, he might like it - and I have no doubt the rest of us will too.

At least FF has some entertainment value. Reading this thread is way better than trading the late afternoon sessions, such drama and intrigue.

bgin2end is a Fund Manager and therefore has no place anywhere on this forum, period. His membership should be limited to posting in the Commercial Section only.

He, or a mod, has now removed his signature linking to his fund management business, however that does not take away from the fact that he could well have ulterior motives for posting in this thread.

I am strongly against any and all posters that have a commercial motive posting in any of the regular threads, they don't belong on FF.

It is up to us as members to report those that flaunt the commercial restrictions. Twee however should not just remove a post here or there, he should limit those that have any commercial affiliation to the commercial section only.

I didn't argue with that point (in fact, I would tend to agree with that point) and I really wasn't arguing in favor of any particular user's right to post in the public forums. My post was about money management as any other type of product you would do research on and due diligence (with a sidebar on punctuation) similar to any other product/service you would "buy".

He didn't make any mention of that -- as to why other products are OK but not that one particular product.

But to your point -- There's about as much a chance I'd hire my money manager off of craigslist as there is that I'd hire him/her off of FF. LOL

Ok, I agree with you, I didn't trade OPM when I initially started posting on here and I haven't since, except for today. Go ahead and look at my post history...I never once, ever tried to solicit anyone or any money. I posted a lot when I started then stopped when I started trading OPM, I just thought I'd post my experience with Jacko. Why would I be looking for people to scam in a place where they were just scammed, that thought is ludicrous.

BUT this means that James16, Clockwork71 and a whole slew of others that post 5-10 posts/day are not allowed to post on here...

Please do not misread my intentions, my only point was to share my experience with Jacko and offer a piece of advise on being INDEPENDENT with your trading (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=3976292#post3976292)

No, I never received any funds from a FF member, they are all family and friends, people that live around me and know me. That's how they learned what I do, by knowing me. In my about section on my blog I can state what I do and how I got there to do it. I also didn't know that there was a commercial designation AND I haven't really posted here at all since I started my business. So I am not sure how I am being portrayed as a villain...

I was saying I was long in that drop... nice try though. Try reading what I say in context. I also had a link to my blog because I didn't want to clutter up Clockworks thread and I had already type a nice long explanation on how I was going to work my way out of a 400 pip loss....

Just thought you should have your facts straight. Now if every one is done slandering me, I will be gone...thanks.
