Its all about transparency. That's what keeps the OTR market honest. I wish more brokers provided what oanda is doing. Additional statistics about the users trading activity ( like total longs/shorts in each currency pair). Also, volume. Funny thing is, volume would be easy for each broker to calculate, as they know all the fills and closeouts that pass through their platform. but that's perhaps for mt5.

Go markets did a great job of answering my questions. I hope that they put their maintenance email out to all clients. This is something that should always be done when not following normal schedule. The scheduled maintenance should be included in the welcome email and placed in the trader FAQ

Yes, the whole marketmaker vs ECN thing should be given a rest. for those of us who actually read the service agreement when we sign up for brokerage, we can see that the broker becomes the counterparty to our trades. We will not get the wholesale commission rate or spread until we start trading wholesale volume. Until then, be happy with a decent retail rate.

The whome MM issue {is the broker taking the other side of my trade} only comes up when there is problem with fills or the datafeed.

When i was trading futures, i never thought about who took the other side of the trade. the clearinghouse did everything for all i know, they held onto the contract depending on the open interest. Once the offer is accepted and it clears my account, who cares where it went?

I think also FxOpen ECN and GoM are excellent choices i think GoM has be best combination of safety and flexibility of leverage and trading style. I hope MBtrading opens a Uk or Austrailia branch. Likewise, i hope gomarkets can setup a USA branch. even if it were for anything else, the ability to facilitate withdrawals faster. IBFX would be great also overseas with their nano lots on 1:200 or 1:400 leverage. compounding and scaling in/out becomes easier as the lot sizes get smaller.

I have several gomarkets accounts for 10 month...total $100+K...no problem at all...

My Live account platform has got freezed for around half hour , but my internet is working fine, do anyone experience the same.

I am trying to connect to different servers but invain.

Mine is too. Dont know what is going on.

I just got home, tried to log on but could not connect, so looks like there is a problem at the moment with the servers.

Oh well means I can get an early night tonight lol

I lost my connection to Go Markets via MT4. (I'm in the United States) It's been out for over 30 minutes now... I've tried from my VPS server which has redundant high speed Internet connections with no luck and from three other locations with different Internet connections with no luck either.

Other MT4 connections to other brokers are working just fine. Seems like NONE of the Go Markets MT4 servers are responding at all!! The overnight trading desk for emergencies also has a constant busy signal. What's going on?

What's going to happen to all of our open trades?

Edit: The connection seems to be working again. About 1 hour of downtime is not acceptable.... I've had a great trading experience with Go Markets up until this point. I realize IT issues can be tough to control but there should be enough redundancy to prevent outages like this.

we are getting tickets of go being down. I just pinged their box in SDCA and it is up. seems to be somewhere else. currently waiting on info from Go and evaluating.
