DislikedAt the request of another participant in this thread, I agreed to attach a summary of the strategy that NightMoves had shared with all of us when he started this thread.
I undertook the writing of this summary for a friend who doesn't like to browse through loooong forum threads (he just wants the meat).
Anyway, the Summary is not yet complete but in private correspondence here on FF, another person asked if s/he could have a copy. I went to attach it to a PM and, of course, discovered that one can't do that in FF PMs (how annoying).

Dislikedman, you got a lot of buys there. I hope you don't average in into losing trades, thats never a good idea. Especially in the beginning of your trading career. It's a bad habit to throw good money after bad money.
But, I know you have to make that mistake yourself to realize it, so just take it as a suggestion.

DislikedThanks, Custos.
Total of all buying positions on that trade were 1% -I try to learn testing the market as well.
Now I closed all positons of EURCHF but with less profit than planned originally.
Today I took NZDUSD on D1 at 0.7058 -would this be a trade you would advice to take?
Thanks

DislikedHi Custos,
Sounds very inetersting indeed. I have looked at thread and done a little scanning of the charts and must say that they do look like they yield some pips.
However I still can't get my head around not waiting for any confirmation what so ever... did you find this difficult at first?Ignored
DislikedI guess this is one of the reasons that you only take the trades outside of the london session as lines are more likely to hold?Ignored
DislikedHow do you handle moving your stops to break even? Is it at a certain price or just when you feel like it? Also I guess you place your initial stops beyond the most logical level?Ignored
Dislikedno problem,
can you show me a chart of your nzdusd d1 analysis. Also, it would be tremendously helpful if you can elaborate on if you went short or long, just taking a trade doesn't imply direction.

DislikedThanks for your reply Custos -and of course for all your efforts to show us how to trade properly.
I took the the trade long entering at the origin of the breakout by looking to the left.
And I understand this was a trade in line with the weekly trend
Not sure if I missed something else...
Thanks

DislikedAnybody knows if this backtesting software exists:
1. I wanna manually choose my entry points (can't be programmed into a system, thus I want to do it manually.)
2. Now having these manual entry points I want to backtest mechanical exit strategies with these entry points.
Does a backtesting software exist that can accomplish using manual predefined entry points and then only optimizing the exits?
Thanks in advance if anybody knows of such a software

All other features are the same like in full version....Ignored
Dislikednot that i know of .... eSignal and MultiCharts offers backtesting but that is automated and would be quite expensive as well.Ignored
Dislikedinteresting that such a useful software which combines both worlds of backtesting doesn't exist. Maybe I am the only one who wants that feature.Ignored
