DislikedHey SC......How come you are coming over so heavy on this subject.
It was a reasonable trade in IMHO opinion, even Jaroo liked it.
I managed it as well as possible, I see nothing unreasonable about the trade MM. In fact, I think it was a good trade.
We can not expect every trade we take to be a winner, all we can do is manage our risk and take reasonable trades & learn from the losers.
This is exactly what I am trying to do.
I only mentioned the percentage of draw down as Jarroo was a bit concerned I may be trading too large a percentage...Ignored
DislikedThanks Jarroo, duly noted for future reference.
I suppose, it is easy to get pulled into taking a smaller bar like this because of the location. That said, there really was no other confluence other than the RN and PA.Ignored
DislikedSounds great Pb. You may want to rethink your percentage, looks like you may be overtrading a bit.Ignored
Dislikedjarroo, 70% win ratio, only 10 trades in 3 months is overtrading?
i got 70% ROI in 3 months too, but, hundreds trades, that sounds like overtrading, my win ratio has been terriblely low, i guess about 50%, the return relies mostly on a couple of heavy position, a bit lucky here. almost lost faith to some extent in recent days, particularly after i saw this report

9% average return each year bits 96% of her peers, and this makes her world greatest investor....Ignored
Disliked10 trades in 3 months doesn't sound like over trading to me
That is on much larger sums of money. It is a very different game at those figures.
Would you rather make 50% ROI on 50,000 or 9% on 1 billionIgnored
DislikedYeah the 1.0400 has proved itself as Support and even as Resistance a bit on the 4 hour and Hourly. Definitely Support on the higher time frames.
The 4 hour BUOB is not the best A+ type setup due to its small size. So I like the tight management and the quick move to break even (or a free trade possibility) that you have planned.
An entry on a retrace to the previous bar High (1.0400) of the BUOB would be something to consider. I love the retrace entries of the Outside Bars to their previous bar High or Low especailly when their a PPZ level...Ignored

Dislikedmike, do you think 50% ROI can be made constantly on whatever amount of small capital? my thinking is if one can make 50% return on 50,000, with this skill set, he/she could make the same on compounding rate, that being said, he/she should be able to do the same on large fund. simply could not figure out the difference. people will say, retailors have much more flexibilities managing their positions, however, think about this, small retailors working on the daily for instance, the big funds and bankers look at the weekly and monthly, is that...Ignored

it might be very small for u. but think of it this way:
-$4 x 100 trades or 1000 trades. that adds up right?
$10,000 or $1M comes from $1. in the same way that -$1000 or -$10k comes from many -$1's
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I meant the bit above.
it sounded like you thought it was an extravagant trade to take or something.
Yeah, I probably got the wrong end of the stick. LoL
I was wondering...Ignored
DislikedJarro,
Just for clarification, after the BUOB is broken you wait for it to come back down to the previous bar high before you enter it long. Is that the point where you enter or do you let it go back up to a certain area before you enter?
If it doesn't retrace you let it go. Is there a point where you do not enter because the retrace doesn't look good?
Thanks for your inputIgnored
DislikedTake a look at GBP/CHF 4H bar (Fxpro feed). I have placed a stop order sell.Ignored
DislikedThis is how I play it on the retrace of buob/beob please don't pay attention to other factors such as the location etc... just wanted to show the bars and how I enter on retraces....hope this helpsIgnored
DislikedSpotted this pinbar in my Dealbook platform. It looks a bit different in MT4 though. I believe it could drop down to 1,2825 (first target). Round number (1,2900) and 38,2 fib retracement could be a decent S/R area. What I don't like here is a bit choppy market and not really much space under the PB. Might enter on 23,6 fib retracement if the price goes down. Your opinion?
