yep, that's getting on my nerves too. I don't have live account with tehm, but use it for charting. I will be looking at Ninja Trader or Oanda this weekend.

Hi Vark

Did you get time to look at Ninja Trader or Oanda. If so what is your opinion of these.

I quite like VT Trader but with the connection issues this a big concern, especially when you want to manage your trade.

Do you know if there is a similar platform like VT Trader. I have used Meta Trader but I am not that comfortable using it. To get some of the functionallity that is in VT Trader you need to run an EA (such as moving your stop loss and take profit by just dragging the line on the chart)

i have used NinjaTrader for 3 years now and can only say good things about it... their charting for me is great..and chart trading option is very easy to use.

if your visit the Ninja website there are approx 15 brokers that support Ninja..some are better than others..

i'd be happy to show Ninja via the Skype group... i just need to find out the Skype group name ?..

i have the FXCCM platform as well.... charting is no where near as good as other platforms i have...

plus the FIB retracement tool in its charting doesnt let you have negative entries...ie.. -34% & -55%

do you know which broker allows long-term demo account and which brokers I should avoid? I have live account on MT4, and was using VT just for charting. The only brokers off teh NT list I heard of are MB Trading and IB Brokers.

TradeStation allows the user to flip between live and demo account with no time restrictions. This allows the user to test their strategies.

Hey all, there was a very nice short going today after UK open i got on. Hourly charts showed we were retracing in a short trend, and long wicks on prev 15 min candles helped confirm after hitting weekly 19.1 and near to daily R2 pivot... i had breach around 1.5628, entered a bit after and rode it down after scaling out early for +23. I wanted to experience being in for good run after being used to scalping for 10-20 pips...!

Didnt hit intraday bear T1 for me, stalled around prev day t1, some other pairs were turning around so i bailed for +75, which is a personal best! :-)

I downloaded it and had a look. Unless I'm mistaken, it would seem that one has to either pay for the feeds or trade with Gain or Mb. Otherwise looks good

Just closed my long on EU and GU for +104pips and I really had planned to chill today. Am grateful. Anyhow we have nice rejection to the downside on EU off Friday's fib, so opposite targets or 80.9 may be in view. 1.2980 to 1.3000. All the best to everyone

SFM traders...

you can get a free data feed via a supporting broker for ninja trader if you dont want to 'buy' it to trade LIVE. I myself have bought it and consider its cost a very small investment to run my trading biz. The current version of Ninja will be superseded by a newer version - Ninja 7, sometime towards the end of the US summer... again i have seen Ninja 7 and it is even better than Ninja 6.5 which i am very happy with anyway !!..

i have attached a snapshot of the charts Ninja produces and the way you can draw your SFM trades on them and keep them as part of your trading 'library'. This is a SFM trade from July 30...

perhaps if Simone of Aswilled can send me a PM i can attend the Skype group and show people how to get the free datafeed...

let me know if this is of interest..

definetely interested if we could get it working w/ free datafeed. Heard a lot of good things about NT
