No price action setup as far as LH goes, clearly a resistance zone on the chart however.

Exactly what is not coming up? Do you have bars moving on offline chart?

What do you know.... straight back down again off of 50% fib level.

Go to file - open offline chart

Choose M7 because this is what you chose in inputs.

Then you must leave the m1 chart open to feed the data to the m7(offline) chart, otherwise if you close the m1 chart the m7(offline) chart will not move.

Got the smiley but no range bars started.

If we start from scratch. I've opened offline, chose ej 1 min. Loaded ea, smiley face, allow live trading chosen and I have bars 7, time 7, max bars 9999, show gaps true.

How to I now close/save to ensure the offline chart is there when I go to re-open?

If you do all those things and the chart is still not moving then make sure these boxes are ticked in options tab - expert advisors

If it's not working after that, then I'm not sure.

Open m1 chart first, attach EA to chart, set inputs, wait for it to say range bars started top left, then go to open offline and choose m7 or whatever time frame you choose.

Ok I've done all that and waiting for it to say range bars started, lets see taking an age.

Thks for your help. Would like to get this right so we can be on same page. If not I'll just have to struggle through as we have before.

It should not take too long to appear in the top left to say it's started.

If it's not appearing to say it's started then something must be wrong.

OK I'll try again later as I have to pop out now. Also this is taking up way too much of your trading time now. I appreciate the effort though and at least its here for others that want to try that option.

Hey Musashi.

Interesting stuff with your take on HL/LH trading. I've never actually played around with range bars before but always curious to learn new approaches. Now that they are set up on my charts, I was hoping you could provide a bit more information on your methodology.

I was wondering, why do you prefer range bars for this type of trading? You recommended them in your first post in the thread, and I was curious as to what advantages you think they offer to this brand of trading. I've tried doing some searching for threads on constant range bars in order to learn more, but it's difficult to find a good source. Best I can find that is at least similar is "Trading Renko" so far. Perhaps you can provide a better thread more suited to constant range bar trading?

Also, how do you use your Scalper Signals with HL/LH trading? This is another indicator I've never played around with, but at least there seems to be plenty of sources for more info on it.

Other than that, any additional information you can provide on your trading style (particularly trade management, general exit techniques) would be useful. Your charts are clean and straight-forward, but I'm still working out some of the finer details of how you approach this style of trading. Very interesting take on it though - keep it up!
