DislikedHey Musashi.
Interesting stuff with your take on HL/LH trading. I've never actually played around with range bars before but always curious to learn new approaches. Now that they are set up on my charts, I was hoping you could provide a bit more information on your methodology.
I was wondering, why do you prefer range bars for this type of trading? You recommended them in your first post in the thread, and I was curious as to what advantages you think they offer to this brand of trading. I've tried doing some searching for threads on constant...Ignored
DislikedOne thing it will do that immediately springs to mind is that it could well allow earlier entries in some cases as you will have a 7 pip set up candle instead of 10-15 pips or no trade if set up candle on 5 min is too large.Ignored
DislikedIn the above example the set up on 7 candle closed at 23, a 5 min set up candle closed on 12.
Thats 1 time need to have a look at lots of charts. Principle the same, looks good first reaction.Ignored
Dislikedmmmmh the chart I posted here, http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost...postcount=2223 the lh on a 5 min chart is clear, but to take on RB was nowhere near as clear. Some you'll win some you lose.
Never a bad think to think of other ideas. Will run tandem for a while.Ignored
DislikedTry 15R bars or bigger 25R bars. 7R bars are very fast.
Bigger Range Bars are alot clearer.Ignored

DislikedWouldn't larger range bars defeat the object?
I will be keeping existing system in full ie I'll still be looking for 1hr and 15 min charts to determine set ups and will look at 5 min and range bars for entry to compare. As R7 is pretty quick (generally looks like 2 or 3 mins) you need to be pretty sure of direction before entry. In a quickish market its almost like trading off a 1 min chart and that can be dangerous.
What it clearly shows is that you better have your head screwed on before you jump in and trade in this manner.Ignored
DislikedIt also shows how good your results are M, a big warning though to those trying to emulate with 4% at risk per trade, get this method right first.Ignored
DislikedSometimes you go to close your order and the broker tells you no connectionIgnored
