Yes here it is. At the time i used other indies then i do now, and its my indies i use now that is showing. But i know why i took the trade, think it was because AO was in a the level where it usually turns, while RSI 14 was really high, not spiking though at the time. I am very hesitant if i should have taken that trade today, as you can see what i use now isnt really in line with that trade, the fast RSI (red line) and CCI was broken up.

It seems that trade was the beginning of a breakout, that i got cought in.

I have evaluated those Murrey math lines and found that they dont give support very often, and besides they change A LOT with time. I find the pivots more reliable. Besides, they cloud my wiev, i know i could get used to them with time, but still. I am very aware that i might be wrong about the MMVG lines.

A question about those pivots though, are the dotted lines weaker S/R then the ones that are full lines? It would perhaps seem so but id like the opinion of you guys. What is youre take on these, Trigg, Hoss Bergax and everyone else?

The problem with the MMVG i have is that those lines seem to be everywhere, and from the chart you posted i saw a couple of more instances where youre CCI was high, price outside BBands, and at least close to MMVG lines (they are virtually everywhere) so i dont really see why you didnt take those trades (which you would have lost) like the one at around 9:35 PM?

i don;t know either my broker sucks or other things but i always end up in a entry point 5 pips far from my desired entry point
honestly it is not a problem in trading system
so i decided to trade 5m time frame
for 15 pips target
in that case i can get 10 pips even if continue to happen with me
please guide me what should be my stop loss

Looks possibly interesting, but i have no idea what you base those enclosures on. Will have a look at that thread.

I have eliminated a lot of problems i think very rapid movements and such arent much of a problem. My big problem is slow, but sort of large to semi-large movements that begins at the MAs. I dont know it there are a way to forsee theyre momentum somehow. Do anyone have a viable, verifiable way to detect such movements.

Forexcube/Trigg, i know you mentioned looking at higher timeframes like M5, but i have never understood what good this would do, because the movements itself are first seen on M1, what good would having a look at M5 do?

Movements could be better seen early at 30 sec. /M1. Every M1 System will generate a lot of false signals. So I prefere to take a look at M5 and M15 and M30 and the pivots and the murrey math which prevent me more from unprofitable trades.

Yes i was refering to these charts you posted.

The second signal on the first chart, at around 16:15 on the chart makes good use od the MMVG lines and if it behaved like this a lot i can see why you would want to use MMVG. On this occasion CCI and BBands gave signal at roughly the same time.

The first circled signal on the first chart does not make sense to me however. The CCI signal circle and the circle around the price showing it outside of bbands is not synchronized in time. Besides the MMVG lines seem not to do much of anything here, price is right smack in the middle between two MMVG lines. I must say youre thinking eludes me on this one, if this is actually where you entered the deal. If these cirlcles are ment to show something else, i dont really know what.

And lets have a look at the second chart. At first there is a small CCI divergence. Not sure what this tells us. Right after that you entered long, and i dont know why, MMVG repainted after this so we can no longer se if MMVG helped you out or not. After that there is a second divergence over 2 hours or so. At the end of this divergence you see an exit signal. And yes this i understand somewhat, youre CCI is so high its not wise to asume it will be higher, and we can se that after the peak it drops, and price is outside BBands, so we should not expect it to go further. Though i see that the CCI signal is not synchronized with youre exit circle, the exit is several minutes after the CCI high signal. It is curious however that price is not locked on the border of the MMVG line, which means they are not really giving resistance (the fact that price goes beyond them and then returns means nothing to me), which means you didnt really use them here.

I am currently working on trying to make things simple and both follow the trend and countrend scalping at the same time.

Well its nothing new that the market moves 2 ways. I think that maybe, and i say MAYBE a person can get skilled enough to work it both ways, any day of the week, any time, anywhere, under all circumstances. MA 20, apply to close, exponential is what could be the beginning of something towards this goal. It would seem though that everything gets so full of ad-hoc hypothesis i doubt that a bot could actually be programmed to do it.

I am not sure you guys are familiar with ad-hoc hypothesis, and i dont know anything more fun (with my clothes on )then talking about this stuff so im gonna wheter you like it or not.

A ad-hoc is when you have an asumption in the form of a hypothesis, that gets modified somehow. Through this modification that hypothesis looses a lot of its strength and becomes less then what it was.

So lets take an example of a normal hypothesis like:

H1: All domesticated cats have tails at birth.

That was pretty much true to one day someone bred a race that dont have tails, i think they are called Manx, of Minx or something, most of them have redish fur i think. So obviously the hypothesis needs to get modified, we can call name it H1mod and then it is expressed like so:

H1mod: All domesticated cats have tails at birth, except Manx (or whatever they are called), they actually dont.

So as you can see, H1 is no longer to be trusted, only uninformed people would think it true. H1mod is the way to go instead.

A hypothesis that could be nice for us is one like:

H1: RSI period 3, apply to close. Sell at level 90, buy at level 10. TP 1.5+spread, SL 2+spread. Apply to EUR/USD M1.

Well as you notice if you have a look at this, its maybe slightly better then break even, depends on youre broker a lot, if you get a spread of 0, then youre in for the big bucks. Anyway, lets say that this isnt good for all market conditions. Then we modify this H1 and let it be:

H1mod: RSI period 3, apply to close. Sell at level 90, buy at level 10. TP 1.5+spread, SL 2+spread. Apply to EUR/USD M1. Except in trends, in trends we wait exactly 1 minute after signal is given, and if its still given we enter the trade.

This modified hypothesis is a lot better i would think, since the first one dont take trends into account, which seems kind of silly if you have a look visual lookback a couple of days of the first hypothesis.

So where was i going with this? Im getting to it.

All trading systems i have ever seen have a multitude of ad-hoc hypothesis built in. Maybe they need to, maybe they dont. However for each ad-hoc the system becomes less comprehensible and less stable. Im not saying that we can actually avoid these ad-hoc, im just saying the more there are of them the less of a system and the more of "feeling" the strategy becomes. I want all of you to ponder this and what it means. I ponder it every day.

So the question is, have you ever seen something that dont have a multitude of ad-hoc hypothesis, and just very simple rules? Now remember im not asking if you know a holy grail system.

Now i think that a person can get skilled enough to work the market both ways, see the signs for a buy and enter, close when in good profit and directly sell and close for good profit and so on. I have found the following to be true:

A certain set of indies, however they are combined or arranged will filter out some bad trades, and some good trades. If you choose to combine many seemingly good indies they will filter away good and bad signals. However i havent reached more then 90% ratio, and the problem being TP and SL. For an example in a strong uptrend the TP for a sell move is small, and the same for a buymove in a downtrend.
