London opening: the only reason why I secured some profits was because I entered wrong 0SL.

I can see that this is the same as roulette where you only play the red and black. (no slippage in roulette!). but then again you only do this 2 times a day! (makes it safer!) LOL

Without wanting to stray from the original strategy too much have people tried using the first min or even first 5 min candle as the boundries and then taken the first break either side?

i have found this to be successfull, although still in the process of deciding which one to use, the 1 min obviously offers a lower SL but the 5 min often offers a safer entry.

This is the way I'm testing the system at the moment. I don't have (and don't want to) Oanda account, so MT4 with 1min TF is the best I have. I've posted some charts last week, when price really flew away just from the open moment. This week is not so solid.

Yea no run away trades as yet but I have been moving my stop to BE and then trailing it with the price. I will be testing this for a while to get a grip on it potential but so far everything seems quite good.

sorry guys as its slightly off topic. Dael it may be worth us opening a new thread although it follows the basic principle of this thread but just uses a different time frame.

I just prefer not to post a lot of charts with TF different from original. No need in new thread 'coz main idea remains the same, IMHO. Fast (opening), tight (stop), big (profits). Smth like that.

Dont forget its holiday season in the UKthis means 80% of school kids are now on hols for 6 weeks and the big bang boys and pro's go away for a month at this time of year..

Volatility is way down Im experiencing it on my systems and have become accustomed to it..so when London opens you wont get the huge numbers normally trading ..we get the same at the Christmas period
