Those are the Ultimate Filter from Pilotui, post 449, they are 2 Stochastic filters overlayed.

It could be the way your broker list the pairs. With IBFX they are "EURUSDm", and other brokers are "EURUSD". If yours are listed differently than you will need to edit the mq4 file to make it work. I had to modify it to work with IBFX because of the "m" after the pair. The original file "^Pilotui_MY_STRENGTH_v1.0.ex4" wants them to be like "EURUSD". The one I enclosed "^Pilotui_MY_STRENGTH_v1.0m.ex4 has been modified to work with IBFX. They should show up as long as you have chart history and can see candles on your chart, mine are working...
Ok on your template the lines are there, but I have it loaded on eurusd and at the bottom its showing usdgbp

USDGBP is the default settings, check your settings. Also I think you need the Alf_Alert indicator in your indicators folder in order to display the red candles. I am also using the IT_Candles, make sure it is in your indicator folder.

The template shown looks like the one from the zip file in post 449 which is fine, the one I am using has the "Dash Board" indicator that adds a lot of the other items, this I purchased from pipware.com and is not included in anything I sent.

I am presently working on an alert that may help in not needing to be in front of the computer all the time. It is based on what has been going on in this thread. At present I am testing it with different indicators to see what works best with alf. The ones I am trying are AO, AC, Fractal, UF1, UF2, Strength, and Instant_Trendline. You can see the chart with some test readings in the upper right corner. It looks for Awesome and Accelerator to be same color, looks back the last 8 bars for the closes fractal and its direction, looks for a UF1 and UF2 cross within 2 bars of each other, looks for a cross of the Strength within the last 2 bars, and also the Instant_Trendline cross, which is the red and green MAs on the chart. Also not to forget, a close above or below the Alf line, all must agree. This may be a little tight, but I am trying to cut down on the noise.
The FracAlert number tells what bar within the last 8 bars the closes up or down fractal happened on. All these values shown are for testing and reference to see what is going on. Also when an alert takes place a screen shot is taken at that moment so I can check on it later and see just what happened at that moment in time to make any adjustments to the code. This may be just a waste of time, nothing is better than hands on trading and reading the charts yourself. Forgot one thing, the vertical wide bars are my trade window, I start at the blue one and end at the Crimson one, 6:00 to 18:00 GMT.

The template is a combination of what I got from this site and the DashBoard, which was purchased from pipware.com. The ^Pilotui_MY_STRENGTH_v1.0, which came with the zip file from post 449 on this forum I did have to modify to work with IBFX. Here is the template and the modified indicator if your using IBFX. Without the DashBoard though some of the things will be missing. I am also using the IT_Candles from this forum.

Here is the mq4 file for the indicator.
The lines like the following need to be changed. There are 7 of these groups that look like the following.

Hi Whatfx,
you will not get alf or any other indicators on this site to work with ig's charting package.you will need to download metatrader4 and use that for all your charting and use ig for dealing.

I didn't have time to trade this morning but here are a couple of possible trades that may have been taken on GU. The chart may look a little different from my other ones as I am still tweaking on an alert and trying different settings. The readings on the right just give me an idea what the different inputs to the alert are doing at any moment in time. When I have time I will set and watch a chart and watch the different readings to see what needs to be changed in the alert to make it better. But from the way the alert is coded I believe where I show the entry is where it would have given an alert with my present settings. The other SL and TP points are after the fact so they could have varied under real conditions. If everything went as showed the profit may have been around +43 pips on the second trade. The first one maybe could have worked out but for a smaller profit, may have been close but profitable.
I will be forward testing the alert on a demo account the rest of the week and see how it goes and see if it needs any more tweaks. Its a slow process.

Thank you for this simple system. I have been following this thread for over a week now, however, this is my first post.
My question is: can ALF actually be used in a higher TF? I have a full time job and the lowest TF I can trade now is H4.

I have been rather busy this week with the day job so not much evening time to work on the alert I am testing with the last Pilotui template and indicators he posted. If you are interested go to post #921 and download the zip file Pilotui posted there with all the indictors and template he has designed. The alert I am working on will be used with those indicators. As you can see I have modified the template just a little so the different alerts are now shown on the right side of the chart and change color to show you whats happening. I still need to do more testing, but when done I will post the alert indicator. But if you are interested I would suggest you read this entire thread and then try Pilotui's setup to get the hang of what I am trying to do with this alert. I did a test last night and below are the screen shots of what happened with 2 alerts that went off on EURUSD. I also took a screen shot before I left for work this morning so you can see how the trades would have worked out. Sometimes when Windows does a screen capture it must grab when the indicators are being updated, as you can see in the one case the indicator windows are empty. The alert is dsigned to take a screen shot at the same time the alert is given so I can later go back and see just what was on the screen at the time of the alert. I am still tweaking the alert but these 2 look to be winners. The alert is very selective and may miss some that you may have taken in the manual way.
If you have any ideas on this please post them for us all to share.
Edit: I am using the alert on the M15 time frame.
Edit: Also, I did not have the trade time in the alert engaged, so as you can see the first alert happened before my trade window.

Seller , the 2nd trade alf was not below MTF alf, correct me if I am wrong, it still made money , but I thought everything had to be below mtf alf ?
