Hi Domino,
I've been trading off the 4 hour timeframe following the methods on this thread with some success but I'm not sure that my s/r zones are good. I often see price reacting just before or just beyond my zone and when I look more closely, this s/r zone could be just as valid as the one I have drawn in on my chart.
I generally get about 6 months price data on my screen using the daily, then mark on horizontal lines at price turning points, end of the wicks, giving a higher priority to more recent turning points. After adding the s/r zones I look at these horizontal lines as levels that price staggers up and down/to and from. Sometimes I get so many lines it's hard to see what's going on at all ..lol. I then move down to 4 hour and look for the setups you have outlined on this thread.
s/r levels: Sometimes I read the more touches, the stronger the level. Then I read s/r usually will not hold after 3 touches.... All a bit confusing.
Do you add multiple levels to your charts or do you just see what levels might be applicable for that day and then re draw it/them in a few of days time?
Any advice on identifying these zones? I guess experience is the key here.
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
Paul
