My view on Swissy & Cad are buy and forget for years, i believe we will be seeing prices somewhat to what they were a decade ago or there abouts <strong dollar> coming to fruit after multi multi years decline.

thanks for the invite. i posted some crap earlier. click my name if you like and read it. i tend to agree we had to bounce north as we did even in the 2008 fall. now whether this is sustained or not is another story. personally i think ez maybe use euro as a basket currency and each member country have a way to control their own currency. i guess if this did happen it may one day be a reserve currency. but as things are its too flawed with welfare countries. as things stand long term i don't see ez holding the euro together.

the market will decide if stress test are bs or not. personally if you loan me a dollar to pay you back the dollar i borrowed from you in the past.. its bs. .. well thats what is happening in the ez... a shell game.. add to the fact the new dollar you loan me you just borrowed from me.. all done in some computer. a shell game..

now we got 2 pigs in a beauty contest.. what comes first the chicken or the egg? the u.s. is the consumer who is consuming less (importing). Europe does better when exporting. Its a cluster. The good news in all the reports says ez exporting has increased. what they don't say is their comparing it to 2009 and the Germany has lost market share since 2008. you got a 50/50 chance of being right. but much less of a chance if you include timing. And if you think of Asia as the ones who took the market share. China stockpiled commodities at a cheap price. And all their industry is modern. Also who can compete with wages. Asia does not have to compete with the western worlds high social retirement cost.

see what holds 2968 or 2898 today st. until stress test im a scalper, but reserve the right to hold a winner long term.

The number of fake euro banknotes seized in the first half of 2010 fell by 13 percent from the level in the previous six-month period, the ECB said on Monday, the first decline since late 2006.

"In the first half of 2010 a total of 387,000 counterfeit euro banknotes were withdrawn from circulation," a European Central Bank statement said.

The decline compared with an increase of eight percent in the second half of 2009. The ECB did not offer an explanation for the decrease.

"The proportion of counterfeits remains very low," when compared with the roughly 13.2 billion genuine banknotes in circulation, the statement added.

Seizures amounted to around 265,000 in the second half of 2006 and first half of 2007, and then began to climb steadily, reaching 447,000 in the second half of last year.

There was a slight change this time in the denomination of fake banknotes most often found, with 50-euro (65-dollar) notes representing 42.5 percent of the total and 20-euro notes accounting for 41.5 percent.

In late 2009, counterfeit 20-euro notes had topped the ranking.

Almost all of those found, 96 percent, were 20, 50, and 100-euro banknotes, and more than 98 percent of all counterfeit notes were found within the 16-member eurozone.

The yen rose, snapping a two-day loss against the euro, as concern over the financial health of European banks and the pace of the U.S. economic recovery boosted demand for Japan’s currency as a refuge.

The yen gained versus 15 of its 16 major counterparts on speculation stress-test results this week will show European banks require additional funds to cope with possible loan losses. The Dollar Index was near an 11-week low before Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke speaks on the economy and ahead of data that economists said will show initial jobless claims increased and existing home sales fell.

“Worries over the U.S. rebound and European banks’ stress tests are likely to underpin risk aversion,” said Tsutomu Soma, a bond and currency dealer at Okasan Securities Co. in Tokyo. “The bias is for the yen to strengthen.”

The yen neared a 7-1/2-month high and Asian stocks slid on Thursday after comments by the head of the Federal Reserve added to concerns about the U.S. economy, causing investors to dump riskier assets ahead of European bank stress test results.

Major European stock markets were expected to open as much as 1.2% lower, financial bookmakers said, after Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke described the U.S. outlook as "unusually uncertain" but gave no indication that specific actions to deal with it are imminent.

The conclusion of the European Union examination of banks' financial strength is due on Friday and is expected to show generally positive results for Greece, Italy and Ireland and a few failures in Portugal and Spain.

However, if investors perceive the test results as credible, do not expect risk-taking to bounce back for long, given that Europe's fundamental backdrop remains relatively grim, especially with fiscal austerity the norm, U.S. fund managers and analysts said.

Meantime, Bernanke's somewhat downbeat comments and lack of any policy action triggered more profit taking.

"Those who had expected more were disappointed after Bernanke only said the Fed stands ready to ease monetary policy further," said Hiroichi Nishi, general manager of equity marketing at Nikko Cordial Securities in Tokyo.
