Hi Gilbert,
I was pretty much watching the same thing on a similar setup, but the pa is very slow today due to 4th of July bank holiday. Why does your window's news meter have numbers with commas in them & why do you use more than one of them?

In fact on your picture, you can take remplace USD per JPY for more effenciency ? (JPY is lower than USD)

Have you a sound alert when the price goes out of the Cogestion ?

The great strength of these currency meters is that you do not need to wait endlessly for your favorite currency pair to move in one direction.
You just compose a pair with the currently strongest and weakest currencies (market value) and use my chart template to take action.
That means you wait until the price action breaks through the Ichi-cloud and keep this position for as long as both the strength meter continues and the price action remains above (long) or below (short) the cloud.
We as Renko-readers have even the great advantage, to not take into account the time factor, as Renko charts are timeless.
The only reason that I just use three different meters is to see which of these meters in the long term will give the best results.
Some of you will rightly say that I could indeed also compose other pairs based on these meters, as USD/JPY USD/NZD USD/AUD...

ACTION: USD/CAD BUY 60.0 SELL 67.0
We'll focus on the IVEY PMI (IVEY Purchasing Manager's Index) from
Canada today, it is the equivalent of both ISM PMI's out of US where
purchasing managers of all sectors of the economy participate in
this survey. And as with PMIs, they are all considered as leading
indicators with the medium point at 50, therefore a reading of above
50 would be considered as expansion in the economy whereas a reading
below 50 would be considered as contraction in the economy.
Our tradable surprise factor is 3.0 as it has provided a good
historical track record, but because we are so much above the medium
point of 50, we need to get either a 67.0 or 60.0 (based on a
forecast figure of 64.0) for us to take a trade. IVEY PMI is
usually tradable before the Canadian Employment Changes and not
after when scheduled at the same day. It is funny that IVEY PMI is
a leading indicator and Employment Change is a lagging indicator,
and both are actually figures of different both, but the general
market seems to ignore that and with this Friday's Employment
Changes release, this PMI may fuel some fundamental sentiment in the
CAD currency if we get a strong/weak employment component out of
this release. (16:00h GMT + 1)

With USD/CAD lingering at strong resistance level just below the
1.0700, this release could help USD/CAD breakout current range or
bounce back down to the 1.0150 level again. The plan is simple,
SELL USD/CAD if we get 67 or better, or BUY USD/CAD if we get 60 or
less... preferably after a decent retracement.

First just wanted to thank Mihailo and others for great contributions in this thread, I've been following with a lot of interest. Thanks to Petar for starting it.

I know someone mentioned before about being frustrated with headfakes using the regular Renko template and so was I. Honestly I'm not that great of a trader to be able to filter on my own.

But the currency meter gave me an important piece and then the next important piece was a really excellent set of Pivots I had laying around.

No Renko for this, not needed, just regular price with a modified version of Mihailo's template. Rules are simple:

1) Use currency meter to find 3 or 4 best pairs.

2) Price is just under cloud (got rid of coral), and just under Daily Pivot(labeled PPV on Chart), SELL. (assuming currency meter agrees of course)

3) Price just over cloud and just over DP pivot BUY.

4) Use S/R levels for TP. Usually S2 is max you get in a day, sometimes more sometimes less.

5) Put your SL a bit above or below other side of DP, so RR is good.(more for volatile pairs like GY and tricky pairs like EU, even to opposite MR1/MS1) Generally a little more than 50% between Pivot and opposite MR1/MS1.

6) Not very good idea trying to get into the action past S1 or R1, too late. I start early and try to find good entry near DP.

Usually use 30 min chart.

This system filters those fakes very well. I've had a lot of success already.

Get 20 pips for three pairs, you got 60 easy pips, your done!

So I'm just adding my template (add to your broker>templates) and the LC pivots(add to experts>indicators), everything else is already here in the thread. (also including the Xmeter, (renamed it strength meter) in case you don't have it. Just add it to experts.) Good trading!

Maybe a good alternative to those using regular HA candles but don't wish to hide the renko bricks for the congestion breakout traders.
