Took a short on GU Weekly R1. Again, really small due to market conditions. 15 pip SL is good enough. It will either drop or cruise up. If it does drop should give 15-30 so it is a good enough RRR

A/U... Potential PO targets. We have a 150/200 crossover on M15 so I'm looking for longs going forward... shorts at R levels for a quick 5 - 10. Just took at 5 pip short at the last candle. Important to note that the 150 is above the 200 on the H4 so I am expecting this to rally up to 86 (monthly pp / weekly S1) Good Luck.

With you on this one. I am long from 8450. The daily threw a pin bar at the 61.8 level.

I don't want to clutter the thread with too many charts so I'll just put up my H4... it is very possible that we come back down to around 8450 -60 area before heading back up just to close the gap between the yellow and red/blue ma's on this chart. The 35sma and 21ema on H2 also need to cross before any continued move north... we are also getting a nice bearish candle on H1 right now. If it comes down to 8440 -50 area I will be loading up longs heavy!

I've been giving this a thought all day... A/U was for a long time following the movement of Gold which stopped a couple of months back and since has been following the S&P but since the USD and S&P both fell today and A/U continued higher I am considering this new idea. A/U was always a "risk" trade but since the U.S. economy is in the dumps and the world is finally realizing it I think that people would feel safer with their money in AUD rather than USD. The continued fall of USD would of course support this theory. I believe that Gold, Oil and other commodities will continue higher...

Edit: I am really eager to see how NFP plays out tomorrow and how the markets react to bad news or "a little better" than bad news.

I took a feeler long here on the last M15 candle. The 50% Fib retracement level is in alignment with the 150ema on H1 and the 200sma on M30 (8550 area)... must also note that the D R2 is in the way at 8531.

Hi Marc,

My thought are aud is great for carry trade, but usd has always been the safe currency, and China and few other countries been holding billions to trillions of usd bonds, will they let usd fall harder?
What i dont understand this week is the rally is e/u, why is euro region stronger than us region when they have countries with junk status (Greece) and Spain is getting review today.

If Spain's downgrade is announce today, will this be another classic pump and dump on a Friday?
But NFP is the wild card, it's gonna be a wiiiiiiillllllddddd day.

Btw, i agree that gold is gonna fly again, my forex factory name says it all.

Your trade seems good.. there is S/R also .. although i am bit hesitant to open any trades in AU .. for me 0.8580-0.8600 is the area to go long or short.. PA at that are will decide whats next for this pair.

Absolutely. 8600 is a key area. I just keep wondering if AUD is going to be the safe haven. I wish someone from Australia would enlighten me as to their economic status. I've been saying for so long that the U.S. economy is in the dumps and finally I'm seeing signs of the world agreeing with me. The USD doesn't deserve to be the safe haven... I'm just waiting waiting waiting for the bond bubble forming to bust. That one should retire me!

Hmmm. I had taken profit on half at 10 but I think I'm going to close the trade at B/E now. The wicks are nice and PA is staying above the 150ema on M15 but NFP is looming in my head.
