Hi FF Members

I am a FX beginner for a month now. Download and read many free e-articles and e-books. Would any member kindly recommend some good e-books / e-articles for me to build a good foundation in preparing for a career in FX in the near future?

What about any recommendation to register a FX demo system, and to use a good charting program? If I want to open a mini account in the near future, which FX broker you will introduce?

Allow me to take this opportunity to wish you all "Grow Grow Grow in 2006."

Thank you.

Lee, Malaysia

for charting i heard that interbank FX is good (i use SNC investments, but they're both metatrader platforms)

but i also like marketiva, i got lured by their offer for five dollars free towards an account. but then, they don't cater US customers (probably because the US requires ID verification and marketiva almost lets anyone have an account) but despite their lax application process, they seem like a trustworthy company to trade with.

Hello Forex SF

Marketiva does require ID verification and address confirmation, every user theres needs to go though it .

Puncakdam,

I will stick with Forex SF and recommend marketiva as well . I have been trading with them for months now and here are some reasons i think you will like them :
They offer the most professional and user-friendly platform among all forex dealers. You have a lot of useful stuff inside the same screen, portifolio, money management, positions, charts. Also they have 2 key features for begginner traders, multi language non stop support and chat channels so you can discuss the trading with more experienced traders.

Also you can open a free account with them, and use the virtual money they give you to trade for as long as you want. there is no time limit You even get a $5 reward when you open your free account

Well.. I think i gave you enough reasons for at least try it out!

cheers

Here is a few off my top 40:

fxstreet.com I check this one daily. They have a lot of great back articles on every Forex subject you can imagne plus daily updates and daily chatroom sessions with top names in the business. For example tomorrow is Rob Booker (he is my biggest fan [movie ref. a cookie to the winner.])

actionforex.com Also a daily (or more) for me. Good market updates and articles. They will send you daily ads, but with that you get market updates twice a day that I find very helpful.

investopedia.com Encyclopedic style articles with ads. If you let them they will hound you with emails, but they have some gems in there too.

RobBooker.com One of the sponsors of the Factory, a member of this forum and an all around great guy. He has some free ebooks and if you sign up for his service there are more. Some of the best writing on Forex out there. Not just content, but style. Very funny and down to earth. You just gotta read woodchucks.

Thats just my two cents worth (lets see....that leaves me with at least seven more left)

Hey King, that's funny. When i asked them about future US accounts, they replied nothing in the near future. Probably someone new. I really like their trading platform, but was disappointed about not being able to sign up.

I am pretty sure you can signup for a demo account (virtual trading only as they call it) if you are from US and when they start accepting US customers you already have an account Also I second what king_e said, they are working to accept US clients but they didnt give me any time when that will happen.

cheers

ya, marketiva sure does confuse me too.

i also found that they did not allow US customers. i sidetracked that by entering a non-US address and i got signed up to an account (a demo account...i have no intention of really trading with them).

and from my experience, despite what others have said in this thread, they did not confirm my address. i still like them though. =)

I find these on the web and pass them on...

...and I found this link to a video on YOUTUBE. It's quite useful in
explaining a basic chart pattern.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgfOGkvynac

There are a whole slew of them, all from FXRETURN (whatever that is).
