Could someone explain to me what would have triggered the last entry. I would have thought it, to be 1 candle back.

Could you please look at the following screen shot (sure there was a few entries) and at the set file I have check it according to your previous setting and I have also ran it with the Price coral set to (000) --- 1000 no differance
Have not had any entries the whole day on the EurUsd pair at these setting, my other pair had numerous entries throughout the day at the standard settings. Could be something simple I'm missing.

Made some changes:-

Eperiod types can only be 0 or 1 (Fast or Slow)

The full correct entry for the MTF Settings are 200M15 or 200M1 (the 4th digit represents the time period you want to monitor while the eperiod setting (0 or 1) indicates whether it is fast or slow trix.

Also the hot setting was set for the Trix at 1.2 and the MTF trix at 1.0. Im sure this was a typo as both should be the same (1.2). You should get some entries now.

While you are present could I ask your advise om the STD setting is there a way I can eliminate the following throough setting on the Set file.
UsdJpy m5 Numerous entries taken to the long side or is this normal? Have you got a better suggestion.

NO the Coral is fine, the Reason why the entry is not 1 candle back is :-

Coral Entry = 1000

Means enter on a CLOSED Candle so the entry would have signalled at the previous candle, the system would have waited for a new candle to form to then enter.

To enter on the same candle you would have to use 2000.

You need to check out these setting

EntryCandleMinAtr


So far this is the only way I see that I control those entries. This allow you to specify the max length of the candle that can give an entry signal. There is a example in the manual. Those candles can to 8 to 10 pips in length

You would need to fine tune for each pair.

Ideal this tries to restrict the candle to enter on to more realistic value.

This is from Page 3 of the Manual
"EntryCandleMaxATR: Current candle length should not exceed the ATR multiplied by the defined
number. 0 means this condition is ignored.
For example, we can use EntryCandleMaxATR to avoid entries where there is a very fast run up/run down
(which can happen easily during news times). Let’s say we think that the ideal ATR for M1 on EURUSD is
6 pips. When an entry signal occurs and if the current candle is 15 pips length already, we may not want
to enter. So, if we have set this value to 2, then the max length for the current candle cannot be more
than 2*6 = 12 pips for a valid entry signal. Please remember the max number of pips completely depends
on ATR value."



Also for your set file u are only using 2 points for entry (Coral - 1000 and FastslowTrixCross - 1000), this is NOT enough to get good entries,I edited the set file in the above post (2644) for v1.11, you should use that as base tdevelop on and tweak accordingly (hopefully it should work) ..... also you should startlooking into the SRlevel setting (this would stop the system from opening near to major support and resistance lines)

In the Set file referance is made to the ADX level. Mine is set to 25.0
would that be an acceptable level (m5 Chart) or is their an indicator in the THV Zip that I have overlooked, or do I have to load an additional ADX indicator from my navigator

25 is a good level, general accepted at at this level and higher indicates that the trend is strong. This is the base indicator called Average Directional Movement and comes as part of metatrader.

There is no need to add to chart unless you want to see how the ADX is behaving

Dear All,
Does somebody of you have a working set which successfully worked on forward-test during at least a week? I tried various sets that you discuss here and the results were not satisfactory: I don't see the connection between what the robot does and THV trading strategy. The robots opens trades too late, takes few pips and then has a huge drawdown.

If I specify 1 for an indicator, will the system take it as 1000? Just wonder.

Boem, yes it will take it as the first digit.

Test it out.

Step 1
Do a basic backtest with FastTrix set to 1000 (this is default) make sure this is the only entry (i.e. set pricecrossichimoku to 0000) the system will take a trade.

Step 2
Next run a second test with FastTrix set to 0000 the system will not take the trade it took in step 1

Step 3
Final set FastTrix to 1, system will take the same trade it took in Step 1

Can someone confirm that Martingale has been removed from money management in THV 1.1? Also, I cannot find a way to restrict it to one open trade at a time.

hmm

i have some problems with instalation...
after istalling ver 6 or 8th same problem
when i try load template system just freeze with blank screens and some alert but window is not responding so im confused

both EA in navigator window are grey

Max Order = 0 This means unlimited.
MaxOrder = 1 will restrict to 1 open order

We do not call it martingale per say but the settings below will cause the EA to behave as such if Money Management is set to True
