Isn't that more like hiding your mistakes, some of my posts may well seem silly, but it will still be there for all to see what happens if they start a thread called 'The Holly Grail', and do we want that happening to someone else again?

I respect your view, but I disagree and that is my basis for it.

Purplepatch, traderunner, and price nice to see some adults in here for a change. I haven't been active at all in the past 2 years, but it looks like I will be, moving forward

dungle let us know what you decide. And if I may ask what city are you residing in at the moment?

I have been trading for several years and after many years of lurking on this forum (and joining recently) this is the most valuable thread I have ever seen.

It is clear you understand market movement and precisely what's happening in the big picture.

All traders should read, re-read and understand your valuable information before making any further silly comments.

Thank you for your time and effort in opening my eyes much wider.

Price -

I'm not asking him to start a new thread, I'm merely suggesting that it would be more beneficial for everyone concerned if that was done.

And don't you think you are being a little hypocritical, you're not exactly discussing his framework are you, in which case your argument would stand to delete all your posts from the thread (Oh I see that he has.), and then like I said it's no lessons learned.

It seems you want to command some respect but you don't want to give any to others opinions.

i will also be sending the omitted calculations to a few of the more serious persons on this forum and i will be taking note. thanks for the words of encouragement. for those who it is helping i am glad

I agree, that's why I'm suggesting it is worthwhile to restart the thread, most people will just come along this thread and disregard it, and that would be a damn shame. This ones all gone wrong, partly my fault I admit, but it deserves more respect, and I think that's the only way it will get it.

dungle, it'd be a crime to take this information off. I'm sure there are others who haven't seen this thread yet who would gladly welcome this info. Ignore the trolls, they'll go away soon. Now let's start posting charts and learning!!

How about a compromise?

Why don't we all draw a line under it here, respect Price, I was a bit OTT there.

But what if dungle put's a link before the stupid stuff that jumps to below the line drawn here:-

No, no - it's what can I do for you? Probably nothing, and I'm probably best keeping my mouth shut under the circumstances, good luck with the thread.

The only thing you could do for me is accept my apologies, and carry on with the thread so that others will benefit.

I second the last post's answer to the above, because I'm a like-minded trader to you, daily reworking candle patterns into a future new method in a theory-minded way, and would appreciate the opportunity to learn from your approach.

One complaint:
I tend to post charts of my new ideas, and people find them "interesting" or annoying, maybe because I don't verbalize logical detail about how I made them.
Contrastingly, you're expecting people to take on a very large chunk of mostly verbalized theory and digest it enough to put a simple example of it onto a chart.

What I start with, reading your method:
Though more candle history is sometimes needed to prove the TL's, I just draw from a 1'TF very-high-volume bar (presumedly big news) a set of TL's that 'stabilize' from that bar to some spinning tops, wide-body candle in a side area, or other, and trade candles' ordinary response to the TL's.
from your method:
I've gotten a little into MTF s/r line segments in general, and it'd be interesting to understand your angle on this.

Best of luck with the thread and your trading.

i may have omitted this but the gist of it is IF YOU SEE A SETUP BEFORE THE MO THEN YOU TAKE THE TRADE IF YOU SEE A SETUP AFTER THE MO YOU TAKE THE TRADE. IF YOU SEE A SETUP AFTER THE FA YOU TAKE THE TRADE
so you trade at the mo or after the fa

and well done. A lot of effort has gone into this and it will take me a good while to get the hang of it, but already it has opened my eyes to some of the little things I'd spotted occasionally but never got round to examining closely. Not enough screentime I suppose; or brains.

you refused to see the little things because your mind says it cant be true because everyone says the market is random so you dismiss it because it couldnt be that straight forward.
we see glimpses all the time but dismiss them

dungle, please explain that a little bit more, I didn't get it.

If there is a setup before the MO, what do you do???

Do you a) Take the trade or b) wait for the MO and take at the beginning of the hour of the MO.

I am still not too sure about where/when to enter the trade though, do you wait for the hourly bar to open or do you wait for the price to cross PP?

you are talking about 2 diff. things
at a set up before the mo you trade on the exact time the market opens
for a pp you wait until a candle (5,15, 30 60min, candle) closes past a pp
you can see this more clearly in the thread ' the truth behind fib ratios ' in post # 40
