Can someone from MBT tell me why there is so many of my order didn't get filled when there is doji. today i didn't get filled for eur/jpy but my other broker get filled.

Did you by chance contact support via phone, email or live chat? They will research your trades with your account number and look into it for you.

Nope...I just trade small lot with MBT now...I'm still testing it...I will contact your guys now

According to Live Chat person, MBT use different feed compare to IB, Tradestation and Thinkorswim, that's why my order at those 3 brokers get filled and MBT didn't get filled...It is kind sad to me that is the case...I just don't see any reason why it is the case since all of your guys are major broker...Luckily my trading system is alittle ok with this excution filled...I would like to test about 6 months on my live account to see if there is MAJOR different.

I would really hope MBT will have same feed as IB, Tradestation and Thinkorswim on filling orders...

That is correct.

We collect our data from over a dozen liquidity providers and qualified banking destinations. Remember, there is no central exchange in FOREX and its possible all brokers will have different feeds.

You might want to refer to www.fxintel.com to compare prices.

It is problem that alot of my trade didn't get by MBT, but they get filled by Tradestation, IB and Thinkorswim which I use them for large lot trading

So far I have encounter about 3 trades which has miss the filled on trade which all other 3 get filled.

Hi mate,

quite confuse here, you meant you placed 1st trade on MBT but didn't fill, then you switch to the other three, then all got filled? Same time, same moment?

No...I have same pending order at IB, Tradestation and Thinkorswim. I just start to use MBT mt4. All my pending trade get filled at IB, Tradestation, Thinkorswim except MBT. Same thing apply hitting the TP as well. It happened to me 3-5 times already.

Just curious if you could comment on the doc referenced in this thread here.

Can you explain what MB does in terms of Meta settings? Seems to me like Meta is basically designed to work this way period. If you read through some of the accusations, it's pretty wild, the whole document is worth a read for anyone trading FX in my opinion:


Like the retail server, the institutional server also limited profitable slippage (slippage favorable to the customer) to five standard contracts while negative slippage (slippage unfavorable to the customer) was allowed on order sizes up to 100 contracts by default (the maximum volume setting). However, unlike the retail server, the institutional server had asymmetrical seftings for maximum losing and maximum profit slippage and allowed for negative slippage up to 20 pips before the customer would be requoted. Therefore, customers were far more likely to have their orders filled when there were large market movements unfavorable to them as opposed to when they were favorable to them.

When we first took on the MT4 project, as I have said in the past, it was important to us to use the “shell” of MT4, if you will (meaning the interface, the functionality of the charts, the ability of the Meta language to work, etc.) and preserve that experience as much as possible for customers. We looked at two products that existed out there that “bridged” Meta to various execution systems, but we determined that both of them really just preserved the behind-the-scenes functionality of a dealer or deal desk while allowing for floating spreads and quotes. We decided to create our own solution. Basically, we used the Manager API to direct orders only to our ECN as Stops, Limits, and Market orders, bypassing all of the server settings about slippage. These settings are all turned off and don’t apply to our orders from Meta because the orders simply route out and are handled by the ECN for execution. I might even be able to share the server settings via screenshot in the next few days. Our MT4 is completely void of any deal desk parameters, which was what we set out to create.

Hello Justin.

Does your company have a way where mt4 users can hedge trade? I believe you indicated sometime in the past that mbt might open an office outside of the usa so traders can trade without the idiotic nfa rules. Can you tell me if that is something your company will do?

There was quite some lag on the quote-server during the NFP-release. Price was 10 to 15 seconds behind other data-feeds, misrepresenting market-price for more than 20 pips at some points. Also, crossed quotes all over the place (-20 pip spread sometimes). Rather messy. 3 minutes after the NFP-release it went back to normal.

Justin: can you check that out? It should be possible to improve on that - a lag of 10 to 15 seconds sounds like the quote servers (or atleast the one i was connected to) are overstressed.

Hi,

I can't find the solution: I know MB allows only market-orders with an ea at mt4. but is there a way to code a limit-order? i don't mean to add a sl and tp to with order_modify to an existing market_oder.

is there any way to use a limit order with mt4 and mbtrading?
