Are we talking about rescues here? Rescue levels 1, 2 and 3 using different timeframes?
fti stated (somewhere) that he trades using spiral within spirals so this may mean trading multiple timeframes?

4,4,8
16,16,32

Spiral within spirals - used for attacks and rescues? This is the way I understood rescues but we never really got into the use of it in attacks unless we consider the overnighter.

NY black boxes seem to ON already - EUR pairs are in full sync with the Dow now... so I'm working on it Mark

OK, I am short the E/$ at 1.2033, protecting 1.2028, and thinking this is my last trade of the NY session. Will let this run a bit more and then rest for Tokyo open. Good trading everyone!

my take on it is also about rescues, generally rescues make perfect MM sense, however attacks do not always work out well, at least in my experience. Short term rescues make good money for me, long term attacks make good money for me, turn it around it sucks for me.

I am getting into level 5, so if I rescue , its gonna be big in ratio to my norm. The fact that I may have to invove level 6, is making me hedge accross currencies to weigh the attack heavy if I have to. LOL -- when it's consolodating, ping pong is the game. Some pretty big ranges to play with recently. Hope you are well. I just post some of the things I get in to in order to participate, and to let some of the new people know that there are trade going on. OK I'm out too. Made a swift rescue and brought home nearly 1% prey on top when squared @1,1980.
Calling it a day for now, not sure if I will trade tomorrow considering the broker issues I'm having lately.

Setebos, I am calling it a day too, losses are partly recouped. Dare not stay too long as mindset is still damaged. Of course I wished I stayed longer on hindsight though hehe...

Lusan, the Dow sauce...yah, I got food poisoning from it.

GEfx, thanks, I am well, just funny how I "lost" it, got distracted by some things, or maybe just plain complacency. Kinda scary man. I think those postings of your positions are fine as a end of day comparison, personally when in the game I avoid outside opinions.

Zoran, I think that post need to be studied in context of that day's action, so I am not sure, I am not sure about this spiral within spiral thing as a matter of fact. My own practice is such that it's more like a 2 tier 3 levels attack where first 3 are deep in profits, probably from yesterday and in a strong trending enviroment. So if I have not closed yesterday's position, the prevailing positions would be called 4 5 and 6. However from the post you indicated, it does not seemed like the case, what's your take may I ask ?

mark hahaha, i was biased long from the very beiginning so maybe thats why. suspected that the daily bars are somewhat slowing down its volitility and possibly reversing, so i was proly crystal balling, just waited for the pa to trigger my trades.

btw how do you guys rescue and still make money?

back to the taboo...
when skews get large lets say level 6 (say 34 troops) onwards then its proly scaling in using the 3,5,5,8,13 for level 6 etc. you essentially create a new spiral within the larger planned spiral.

if that is correct than i might have been doing the right thing all along. hahaha

That's my interpretation too, based on a couple of battlestation posts where fti said "implementing level 5", or "level 5 almost complete" making me think troops are scaled in, as "spiral within spiral".

Hi Jest,

that sounds reasonable to me.
But this kind of scaling does make sense only, if you are going for mid term positions, or you are in a multiday rescue .... ?

BTW: Still have my problems with this fixed steps of scaling. I myself throw in troops that are sized by the trend and momentum. Means that I skip several levels of the fibo skew, if the market feels right ...
