Indicators development for T101's not very simple method

spotted the divergence and I ambushed it and it fell nicely but profit locker got me out with +230 pips NFP retracement after it went +600

I have been testing the EA you developed, it detects the trend and opens basket to follow the trend, it also locks profit as expected.

However, the EA seems to open basket but not close it when the trend reverses.

What happened on my Demo account was, it opened BUY basket on June 1st, the profit went up to $130, locked at $50. After that the profit was up and down around $80. Then on June 3rd, the trend went to SHORT, the EA didn't close the BUY basket, but it opened another SELL basket.

If the EA could have closed the BUY and then opened SELL, the profit could be much better.

Can you please take a look into this? The EA's entries seem to be good.

That's convergence, not divergence. When price is going opposite is divergence. On your pic, price is going in same direction (lower high swings). At least that's my take. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

BTW, up over 1000 pips right now using that TudirGirl Vorticity 2 indicator, but because of the losses it also makes, I can't recommend it. I just left it on demo overnight to see what would happen. It got in way before NFP, so got that whole move. Nice.

Also testing EA I made for your strategy. On H1, it didn't open trades, but I think that's because Daily was still Long. Might be my code though having a bug. Don't know. I just changed it to H4, and it entered Sell trades right away even though I'm late to the party (should have got in at beginning of this H4 bar). Profit-locking too tight IMHO and trade taken out at 50 pips profit ($5/.10 per pip) after getting to 100, but that's not much movement on a H4 bar.


Also, I'm liking zz's new 101EHD basket, and intend on looking deeper. Nice work zz!

I don't know, that's why still testing). Wish this were my real account. This is the type of trade I'll need on my real account for first trade since it's back down to $200.

As soon as I put it on DEMO! it place SELL and believe me its a correct one in 4HR TF, and it reversed the EG and UC. I know its correct because all the conditions are lining up correctly.

and the screen comment reading as I see them are correct

What is left now is to see the locking ability whether it follows that of julius cos I like that 40 pips for each pair very well, which makes overall -560 pips, that is good for me.

Then to see the response time for the opening and closing of basket

You know COLOR of TrendMagic is irrelevant, and as for MACD crossing of Zero line is nothing, only the SIGNAL line crosing the HISTOGRAM

The EA trade is now +120 pips gone

On Tudorgirl2 indi, I was with them on a separate closed thread where it was developed and I worked with her then, In fact I have the EA developed for it by her. The downside is that it REPAINTS and its own kind of repainting is the BAD type that gets you into a trade and then leaves you off. Then we thought we could deal or live with the repainting but later we all left.

PS: As I was typing this the EA closed the basket at +41 pips after it went 120

Cool man. I'm now up 1,680 pips on the TudorGirl indi. Man that would rock if we could get in at the best time (at beginning of trend after it's confirmation - which I still could use Semafor 3 and wait until e.g two bottom Semafors are made. First is a bottom Semafor3, second bottom Semafor is a bottom Semafor 1 or 2, then a higher high after those two conditons are met, and we get in buy). You gotta admit, if the dang indicator didn't repaint, this would be awesome, just like FX_FISH_2MA if it didn't repaint. They both look awesome historically, like getting in right when trend shows to have changed.

Yes, if all items line up, then it will take the trade. Please look in custom fucntion void StrategyEntryRules() for all buy and sell conditions. They should be self explanatory really (maybe just my thinking). to see the variables used in that section and in section void StrategyExitRules(), see void DefineStrategyVariables(). In start function, I just go one-by-one running each custom function in order as needed (at least that's the plan, to organize and make easy to make changes by having every "module" in it's own custom function - unless it keeps the EA from working and I must keep the code in start function).

It may get in late in the trend this way, and it might be better to wait to get in, but since not all conditions happen on the same bar, I have to make 4 conditions for a buyall or sellall.

Also, tell me when using M15 chart, you just look at Daily trend for confirmation? if so, this can be easy change.

Note by the defaults that I change direction of EURGBP and USDCHF. If I wouldn't have switched EURGBP I'd be winning on all pairs.

I know it's a lot of neat code. Thank you. I gave it hoping to get to an awesome finished EA. Now I hope people don't just steal it and sell it and not give back anything. I think that's why most people don't actually give code like I just did. Anyways, hoping we can all profit from it. If so, then it was worth the effort and hard work.

To trade on 15min TF I look at the DAILY samir trend.

If we can make it work fine on 15min TF, there would never be a dull moment In a day one would get good trades 2 to three sometimes. If there is an EA to do that It would save me a lot of screen time, and make me richer, with the profitlocker embedded in it

OK. Here's the corrected one that will also work on M15 timeframe (go with Daily trend), as well as H1 (go with Daily trend) and H4 (go with Weekly trend).

Changed date in EA to 06-04-10 to differentiate from older version.

Other than thanks going to MrPip for input on Magicnumber and Comments, thanks goes to finimej for also looking at my EA code and showing me that since I use global variables, I can basically use type void for all my custom functions since my custom functions are self-contained besides using global variables, and don't return anything (but global variables are updated, which is all that's needed, since next time the value of the global variable is needed by some other function, it will get the updated value.

Just now it closed the basket again at +130 pips and it re-opened another SELL if we continue like that we would make the brokers rich more. it happened when I brought the terminal up to view the progress of the trades

that is the second time, and I disabled locking, so that means we need to look at that area of the code

there is a TYPO bug in the CloseAll() of previous Orest EA. many users should have found that Orest EA often FAIL to close a "locked" basket.

so my suggestion is that search my most recent EA (T101_kos_way_charvo), because you are not using my latest EA. The new EA correct this problem. but new EA's entry is following Kos way that is slightly different from your EA.

If you prefer to use my old EA, you can also do this to correct the closure problem:

search CloseAll() subroutine, and replace with the following new CloseAll() function.

Let me ask: Was there any message or email on why the trades were closed? Reason I say is because I have attempted to put on alerts and emails any time trades are opened or closed, even if closed by profit-locking. So if we don't get a message, I'm kind of at a loss for words (other than maybe "flags" such as ExitAlertDone etc. isn't getting reset when the trades are opened?), which has been the holdup so far in me giving the EA. I figured someone else might know how to and kindly trouble-shoot.

Hold up. Another version coming. I am resetting flags right now for entry and exit conditions, doing a little differently than last EAs.

Edit: Alright, here's the latest EA, today's date 06-04-10 with _2 to differentiate. It has not been tested, but I have basically made the "entry condition" flags to all be set to false at exit of trade (so during trade you don't get alerts again), and any ExitAlertDone boolean to False when a Buy or Sell happens. Test it and let me know what you think/find.

Well, test 06-04-10_2 EA. They have different "flags" and I think _2 is correct. the other one isn't even resetting Buy and Sell conditions (flags) on exit, so there's a good chance it won't even take a 2nd set of Buys after the first set of Buys (same for Sells).

Also, note that the profit-locking numbers in Julius' posted AcctProtect EA is NOT the same numbers as Julius posted at least a couple times. And because they are different, it would be nice to have Julius give us his updated numbers, since there is a discrepancy. But for now I'm using the (too tight) profit-locking numbers Julius posted. But if you look at the decompiled and posted version someone posted, you would see they are different. Just to lessen confusion and help, I would appreciate Julus chiming in here if he is reading this, so that he can respond and hoepfully clarify/help.

Also, just dropped it on Demo and got SellAll trades opened, but bottom of comments on chart show me only a total of 12 out of 14 pairs are open. One buy and one sell didn't open. Don't know why. Anyways, it closed it at first profit-lock level. Also, that other trade I got open from TudorGirl's vorticity 2 is at 2,133 pips right now.

We also might want to look at indicator Advanced_ADX by WaddahAttar (really like his work, also check out http://www.formulatrader.com/downloa..._Attar_OMN.mq4).

I don't know anything about the past couple of weeks discussion about EAs, I haven't tested them and probably won't due to the way I'm trading these days (live on Oanda). You need to demo manually for a while though to understand the system.
