If that was the case then I would bet there would be less Europeans living in Australia because at the moment they are getting very very ordinary returns on there exchange and on the return people may start booking regular trips there instead of Bali or Thailand. I couldnt care less to be honest, the key question is first Do you think EUR/USD will see 1.0000 and if you have strong faith in the conviction Are you shorting the pair at the moment?????????

The greater the fall in a bear market the greater the probable opportunity in future bull markets to make long standing profits (and vice versa). Knowing when a market has or is likely to change long term sentiment can offer some of the greatest opportunities to build solid long term wealth but that is up to the speculator in us. So seeing 1.0000 or lower you have (as previously mentioned) alot of room south. If you believe it will go there then you should be short the market EUR/USD until something compels you to change your conviction. In the end if the market hits 1.0000 or even 1.1000 and you did nothing in between then the chances are you blew an opportunity.

The difficulty is not always in the outlook, but more in the actions taken with the outlook. In otherwords it is pointless having a bias and not acting upon it, it is like having a solid edge but not exploiting it.

i think it's possibility. when the right time comes, i will short the market.

Why 1.00? It could reach 0.87 for example as it was back in 2002? I don't think anything catastrophic would happen if eur/usd reaches 1.00. Me and a quite a few other dollar bulls will make some money - that's all.

  1. If it reaches parity I will pull my stop loss in real close , phone my bank manager and tell him to expect a huge deposit from me.
  2. The euro will also still be widely respected and life will continue as most people , businesses and the economy would have adopted to the rate.
  3. I will probably put in a scalp trade long at parity. LOL

Honestly, I still do not see why the EUR should be of more value than the USD, but I think if it reaches parity, then the Euro Zone could as well go the Russia way--start buying their own currency to avoid further declines. So yes, price limit could be on the cards.

I think we'll reach parity by September at the latest. Eurozone has major issues that aren't going anyway anytime soon. Would not be surprised to see some countries bailing out of the currency in the next few years.

I think in the end they might just have to kick out some of the members that are drugging the Euro Zone economy. It might be harsh and challenging for the victims but if the EUR is to survive what awaits it, some bold decisions will have to be made. I look at some of the economies in the region (individually) and they look great (e.g Germany, France, Italy, etc), but then we all know that if you keep a rotten egg in a crate of fresh eggs, it is hard to tell which is which from a distance, and I guess that is how investors are looking at the situation right now.
