there is one thing that im not quite sure of, or somehow i didnt read the document properly..

if the white/blue/red is below 15 , and the price is below the bottom gold/yellow line on the 6by6, which EA should i run/enable ?

cause there are 6 sets of EA buyML/buy2ndL/buy3rdL and their opposite sell,

if im not mistaken, for the scenario above i should load the "buy3rdL" ea ?
Buy on the bottom and sell on the top. If price goes against you around 200 pips you can set up a second position by using the 2ndL and countertrade the first Level. You can also use a third level 200 pips later again. I used to automatically reenter at -200 but now I reenter at a retracement around -200. ML is main level, 2ndL is second level, 3rdL is 3rd level. I do not recommend going more than 3 levels on a trade because then you are getting into martingaling and you can wipe out your account at some point. 3 levels deep is all I ever go. See info on the 2.4.2 recovery.

okie now i understand, cause i used to follow yr first system back in the 6090,180200 days, and those were like "counter-trade", do yr "countertrade" refer to same thing, if the price keeps going down, i go long ? ,

hi bob, i'm really new here.. tried following your thread but i can't find the strategy you're using.. the indicators, when to long or short and when to exit... saw your first post but i'm lost... alittle confusing... please help if you don't mind.. i only see the pictures but still alittle lost....

did you read the documentation(NANNINGBOB 4H TRADING SYSTEM 4th EDITION April 2010.doc) ?
its quite complete except for some part which i clarified above

I dont know what to say, Version 4 comes with a complete manual so I dont know why you cant understand the basics. Please read the manual and then ask your questions. That way I know where to start. I am going to start up my live trading again Tuesday if I see prices have behaved themselves Monday. I dont know if I want to continue the daily reports like I did, now that I am not doing them I realize how much of my time they ate up every day. Read Page 1 post 1 2nd sentence it will tell you where to go look for the manual.

HI BOB

Your manual is one of the most comprehensive and clear one I have ever seen in Forex. So if someone can not understand it maybe forex is not for them. No wonder people like Steve Hopwood loses his temper and bars people who ask silly questions. If someone can not be bothered to read the basics and wants everything handed to them on a plate then they have no chance in this game!

A large number of us know how well your system is thought out and works so we do not need convincing as to its profitability. It would be nice to have your daily updates and selections and I do not think it would take more than few minutes. But to have running totals and pips tally is the time consuming process.

P.S. By the way I would like to know your opinion of the Donchian indicator in general (as introduced by zurathushtra in the other thread)

I have not had the time to really analyze it but it makes sense. You have a better look at the past with it. My youngest daughter graduates from HS in two weeks so things are getting hectic around my house. I will sit down tonight and start up the daily notices. The one thing it does for me is disciplines my trading. I dont want to go online and tell people I really made that stupid trade so it forces me to be a little more careful. It also helps the new one see the system in action day by day and that is how they learn to trade. Too much trading emphasis is I got in this trade made 50 pips and got out. They need to see that sometimes a trade can take a couple of days and sometimes getting out of trouble can take weeks.

Where do I find this? NANNINGBOB 4H TRADING SYSTEM 4th EDITION April 2010.doc

I have to say I have made more pips on the 60x90 system then I ever have been near to make on any system. But I have only used it for 2-3 weeks, so even though I started in the middle of a euro-storm, it is great. But to early to say how it will work over time.

Still; I want to take a closer look at H4,

Hi Bob,

I noticed that when a trade turns bad, it's often due to the 6x6 entering too late, when momentum is already at the end. What I mean is that the EA often enters on a wick and then, mptm doesn't have enough space (about 25pips) to secure our trade.
So I wanted to suggest a modification on the EA: after a 6x6 cross, wait until the NEXT bar opens, and enter a trade only if the 6 ma's are STILL crossed.
What do you think? Is that possible?
I'm sure this would save us a lot of false signals and make more pips per trade!

It does not matter which MA cross you use or open or close candles etc. You will always have some trades that back up on you after you enter. Now if you ever discover a way not to have a trade back up on you in trading, you will be a millionaire by the end of they year.

Hi Bob,

Of course there will always be some price retracement when the trade is entered! I've been trading your system for 3 months now and have noticed that the EA sometimes enters on a wick, buying/selling a very high/low followed by a big retracement. This can sometimes even be a false signal. I just very often noticed that if the EA enters at a new candle open, the entry will very often be at a better price and provide more pips and space to breath for mptm.
Do you know how to change this in your EA?

OK I am back again. I think the market has settle some so I will start trading. Here we go. I will reformat my reporting to save time.

Turn on the EA for:
Buy: all the auds are buys, chf/jpy, all three of the nzd,


Sell: usd/cad, usd/jpy

The gbp are giving mixed signals of both buys and sells so I wouldnt trade them. Have no idea what that thing is doing. good luck.

Change the code to:

If the 1 Open is greater than the MA 6 Buy. That will give you the trade you are looking for. You will find out that on a big candle move over the MA lines when it opens the next candle you will be into the trade very late and in the middle of the screen. I dont like trading in the middle of the screen.

Nice to have you back trading. Still very unsettled as you know, hope we get some resemblance of normalcy.

All my trades were profitable yesterday and I set them all at +50 and closed out. 4 aud, 1 chf,3 nzd and 2 usd +500 pips.

I am taking all the same trades again today. They all uncrossed so I put the 6x6 back on them again. Happy trading.
