Merkel said today that unless Market investors provide honest advice on regulation, then governments will make it anyhow & it will not be technical, but political. Thing is how many financial institutions & companies cook their books ? It's a can of worms when they start digging. Free markets running out of steam.

I just think it's ridiculous that it's even remotely possibly that an error could cause the destruction of all of the wealth of humanity in 1 second, yet the government still doesn't know exactly what happened. They're talking about adding "circuit breakers" which will cut off trading if some enormous amount of wealth disappears, like 5% in a given amount of time.. I don't accept that at all. Errors cannot harm retirees with their life's savings in the market.. If an error causes a 5% drop then 2 years of a hard-working man's life has been stolen.

Why would anyone in their right mind invest in stocks if this sort of thing is even on the table?

I don't want the useless government interfering with the markets, and they will if we do not clean our own house.. We simply need to overhaul the computer systems running the show.

The only thing I'll touch today is a short on EUR/CHF at 1.43 or to buy ninja at 89 .. My broker says there's sovereign buying interest in USD/JPY at 89.. I assume they mean the Japanese government

I'm frantically searching for a pair that needs to "catch up" before it does just that.. Anyone see anything?
