I dont really think that this event will drive the euro up. It is interesting for me what will they try to do with investment banks, maybe a Tobin tax, tax on aditional risk/alpha?

Now after a quick look at gold (which could be seen as a panic gauge in times of uncertainty), its price started to fall down. I link this to the EU cooling right now( of course i might be wrong) Also, falling dollar is inflationary for commodities, and oil is bouncing at the moment. Of course both gold and oil movements are short term, but i think they are correlated with the EU movement.

hey captmilkdud...yes i included it because it is one of the pairs i trend trade and i have had quite good success trading it.................as i write this my Sell Limit was triggered................cheers.......was hoping to get a retracement to the 1.4200 RN area but since i know price would hardly turn just at 1.4200........i placed a sell limit slightly above 1.4200....n it was triggered...........lets see how she plays..........

So far so good. Not real crazy about the PA or fundis though. That's why I rarely use limit orders. Do you use them a lot?
What are you using for an SL?

Has moved south just a little, hope the Americans can push it for me as thy are about to jump in..............well S/L honestly is usually abit tricky for me sometimes.......like here......EUR/AUD i was looking for the next resistance area above my entry and found this at 1.4320 plus or minus 20Pips.........so i placed my S/L at 1.4351..........if she can keep moving south, i should then move S/L to just above 1.4265, note the kinder minor Resistance around that area....that is how i try to do.................but honest i have never gotten round it..................hope this helps...............

Now heads up guys/gals.......we seem to be forming an IB Fakey with the Trend on my preferred TF........IF she closed as IB Fakey with the trend.....i will be add another short........cheers

Looking MUCH better now. Nice call.

Are you in with a full 2%? Will you compound it at some point? If so what strategy do you plan to use? At which point will you adjust your SL to 1.4265?

You must be a Nial Fuller student. Is that correct?

What is your preferred TF? Must be 4hr.

i am not a Nial Fuller student but have read and backtested the PAs he talked about.....my preferred TF is the 8-hr......of MT5.....i traded the Daily and was quite succusseful but gave up coz i had wake up at 2a.m.......everyday......i like sleeping so it was a heavy price to pay....so i went down to the 4hr TF and did not have much success there so i looked for a TF in between.....so settled on the 8hr TF which works perfect for me....................so i only analysis the market twice a day.....................

hey captmilkdud, sorry but this compounding thing to me is abit GREEK if you know what i am saying.........as much as i am Maths person.....compounding, 2%......not for me........basis once i am in a trade and i get another signal to add, then i would enter on half the mini-lot of the first....so my current exposure is 4%......just like this EurAud............my main problem is i have a small account balance that i am slowly building...........

finally, for those who make entries using previous bar highs/lows, i believe you should be short now.................

if you go to the metaquotes website, you should be able to download the mt5 platform there........mt5 is currently going thorugh a test stage until June 2010 when they plan to release it...........so it is only available (i believe from metaquotes)........cheers

i only use it for analysis/demo then enter on my live account.
