Well I thought i would give the 5 second chart a spin,,,30 -45 min in the London got me 120+ pips overnight with 0 risk based on the BE stop after 5 pips,,,,,and again on the Y session this morning,,,88 pips so far....0 risk after 5 pips,,,,,I think I stopped twice in the London for a total of 10 pips before I got my dance partner....In the NY I got the trade on the first try,,,,So to put this into perspective,,,R:R was 15:1 in the London and 17:1 in the NY ,,,,,,,Thanks Tony,,,,BTW I was trading the gpb/usd,,,,

I use Interactive Brokers. They charge commission per trade...works out to about $6 for trading 1 full contract, so you get the lowest spreads. Biggest brokerage in the world. I've used them for trading stocks and forex for many years now. Execution has always been excellent.

As for re-quotes, I've never had that problem. I hit either the bid or offers with two key strokes, so as long as Im fast enough, I get filled.

During big news annoucements, the spreads can get huge, like 10-20 pips, but they quickly return to roughly 1-2 pips once things...
It's good to see the positive comment about Interactive Brokers. I am considering to open an account there. Hence am trying to know more about them, both positive & negative comments help me to do the final decision. Thanks!

Blue boxes are moves of 10 pips in 10 sec. When they occur at the at key SR points, and psychological numbers AND price continues to move in that direction price usually moves 125 pips or more from that initial 10 sec/10 pip surge

The volatility on the GBP is just insane. 10 pips drops are everywhere.

Although fear of the European debt crisis spreading was the original cause for selloffs, what we saw on Thursday was due to technical errors upon entering the amount for short trades in Procter & Gamble and other stocks, as the Dow Jones took a nosedive about 1000 points and naturally triggered GU and EU to plummet as well.

EDIT:

The aftermath is always interesting after a rare event like this, so looking forward to Monday. Who ever said trading is boring?

Tell me some of you guys grabbed 120+ pips on that large GU drop when it just broke support over support.

Perfect trade, you didn't even have to use a stop loss for it.
