A bunch of grinning fraudsters failed to fool the British Public and the election result showed it.

The biggest medal for stupidity belonged to the Prime Minister himself who showed himself up by insulting a supporter when he thought the recording was switched off.

The Conservatives won the most seats, led by David Cameron, described by President Obama in another accidental gaffe as "What a lightweight!"

We had one of the biggest turn outs to vote and so the British people were not at fault.

We are left with a hung Parliament which does not suit our political system and is the worst possible outcome for our currency and national debt policy.

Here's an example of what we had to put up with: Jacqui Smith who lied about the way she claimed her expenses stood for re-election even though the Police records proved that her expenses claims were incorrect. Fortunately she was defeated.

Electoral reform is the only way forward and I am hoping Nick Clegg of the Liberal Democats can negotiate with the two other parties to form a strong coalition. We can have another General Election soon and restore this country to sanity.

more people turned out to vote than expected - 1000's were turned away when the doors closed at the polling station, many polling station could not cope with the number of voters turning up??

?? so surely for the sake of democracy they should stay open until all votes were in - or was this Mr browns idea - stop the tory voters??

looks like lib's and cons to join forces - first time lib's have had the oppertunity to make a difference even if it is only for a short period of time

i am sure the political uncertainty will cause the stirling to drop for some time, but i am sure there will be a resolution quickly. all i can add is some volitility will ake some pips for all of us.

yup our forefathers got sold on the idea of a government for the people by the people, the only problem was they forgot to ask who "the people" were. They assumed it was them and someday us, their children. They were wrong, it wasn't them in charge than and it isn't us in charge now.

maybe some day it'll change... but until than I watch what they do and turn it into pips

In the areas I know about it was mostly the student population who turned up late. Don't forget in the UK voting day is an excuse to go to the pub, not that we need an excuse. The polling stations are open 7 am to 10 pm. That should be plenty of time.

It's just that we'd die of shock if students turned up in the morning to vote.

lol - probably true

but on a side note - the students in the news looked aged (part of the governments un-employment process send them all to college until there allowed a pension)
