the way it sits now. there is no bottom in this market that is near. it's gonna drop some more. that'll be a fun ride. still hovering around 800-1100 pips or so in sells and it will go past that

I'am buy on demo 2 hrs ago.Differences gere is that u/cad and u/chf are in opposite direction (sell).

Agree.That is the reason to keep out from the real trading a few more.

I was almost near to sl -56 usd but it survive.

This is why I decided to go ahead and try to make the indicator I did. It really was relatively simple. All the bars are created by two objects: high to low trendline, and open to close trendline, placed at i. I make sure the whole history bars objects are drawn once every bar, and the last bar is drawn every tick.

I now feel MUCH better about it all. Since I can see candles, I can feel comfortable trading again, knowing what price is doing now (including a bid line), not ABOUT what price is doing. To me it clarifies even more than the line indicators I've made could.

My SL on my last trade was right on the other side of trendline, nothing near 560 pips, allthough for MM purposes, I still use 560 pips (not used to risking too much yet, and am more scared of overleverage and holding losers than really anything else). Small SL.

Thanks to your input, I found that I was wrong using Don's backtest:

It might not be 100% these two (UCh and GCh) killing profit for buy basket, but 8 out of 10 (approx.) times, these two did the shit.

i use to think at the time of entry (take buy basket for example), i should reverse trade the two pairs of lowest buy and highest sell -- This is wrong.

It more than often is something about CHF. usually UCh, GCh, occasionally, ECh is the laziest pair that is no point to trade (save margin and spread). it is often depend on the leading currency. for example, if buy basket is entered, and eurjpy gbpjpy are leading, then eurchf, gbpchf might very likely play suckers role.

it is hard to explain all mechanism, you may watch backtest indi or simply your winning records.

For sell basket, indeed, eurgbp is often the sucker, and eurusd, eurchf sometimes too.

if for Non-IBFX baskets involving CAD pairs, that's another story, but similar...

My short from Friday is still in play. I don't know where anyone is seeing "long" since I don't see it yet on my chart.

I wish I had closed usdchf and gbpchf. They've cost me $500 on this trade. Better yet, I wish I had reversed them like Koso said - I'd be up $2800.

All demo of course, but I'm getting to a point where I feel good about this.

I'm looking for a possible close when GBPJPY gets to 142.50. At that point I need to watch closely since it will either bounce, or drop another 100 pips (I think, who really knows?).

I think I may start trading this on a tiny live account I have at Oanda. I'd have to take signals from MT4 and manually enter the trades, but trading off the H4 should make that easier.

Hi, Don, so how do you quantify your SL amount then?

determined by your candle's height? (which may be a weighted summary of all pairs' movement?)

that's a great improvement compared to rigid 560 pips stoploss(not so reasonable to me).

not a problem charvo. it is hard to pinpoint which will be your looser so that is why i never really change the way i enter all 14. so i can see what's going on.

+1812 pips live that is another 78% it went a little over +100% and over 2000 pips but i was asleep but got out on that big spike towards the bottom. no more shorts for me. it is done. waiting for longs....

I missed that big spike, but it looks like it's headed that way again. 141.60/70 is a support from back around April 27/28 so it may bounce off of that or break through. If it breaks, this could be a big short and worth holding on to for a target of 139.50.

Man was that a beast of a spike or what! Buysvssells is the ticket At one point last night(sort of an insomniac) I was watching Orest and everything below weekly was strong long and we had a decent movement from like -120 to -60 I think it was but the buysvssells just wasn't contracting quickly so I knew the movement was weak(at least I think I knew lmao!) Euro just in the shitter overall haha.

Although it would of been a decent scalp I suppose. If you weren't short.

Honestly, I've been watching BuyAll_pairs and BI for crosses and direction more than Orest or Samir. I've noticed though that when Orest shows a Strong Long on the smaller timeframes and the BuyAll and BI still look short, then it's usually a time to look for a re-entry to shorts.

At this point I wouldn't dare long. Even the Oanda news service that's been calling long GBPJPY for the past week has started looking for shorts below 141.60.
