Well to be honest im at a loss, you can see for yourself that most people are saying it has improved and are again seeing instant execution which is all we ask.
We know why it was slow for some clients and that has 100% been fixed , of course their may be the occasional person for which they may have problems but like all FX providers some IT issues are out of our control. if you dont contact us we cant help you, we would like you to do some test trades whilst we are on the phone so we can both monitor the speed ( we will of course delete these at no cost to you )
We cant really say any fairer than that.
Sounds fair to me. You don't see many brokers on FF putting it out there.

I'am not sure if those apparently "quite small overall" EA traders would be happy with your suggestion. Overall most of the time the GAP trade is still possible at present wit GOMarkets.
If GOMarket would change their open hours Monday morning Australian time as you stated that would spell the end for my live account with them. I rather trade when the the market is present with sustainable volume and normal spreads.

open time has little to do with volume and spreads

spreads are always bad at open no matter what time that is on any broker Sunday.... and seeing how there is no major market makers in the market until Toyko comes online vloume WILL ALWAYS be low so your comment holds no weight on either point

now as for EA's

I have dealt extensively with them over the years and open time has little to do with the function of any EA. If it does you simply do not open your platform until you are ready to trade or a small modification is all that would be needed.

ps: I don't know what the Ask is at that point, but given the spread from 0.5 to 1.2 it should have been hit.

My EA's run on a VPS my friend as most of the EA's will in todays world. I don't think that most Traders would be happy to intervene manually on their VPS platform because that is the exact reason why traders pay for a VPS (let it run by itself).
Again GoMarket is free and obligated to do what ever is in the best interest of their clients and them self but for my EA's and my strategy that would not work so that is my point, meaning by by GOMarkets.
Just to add my take on this broker for those who wish to risk a shot at them:

I've been with these guys for close to a year now. GoMarkets is one of the best I've encountered and will conveniently rank among my top three brokers of choice.

This is a demo account, so no big secrets here - acct 53066, order 6280517, 2010.05.04 21:25 entry short - It is probably 0.00001 pips away from my price, so I will assume I made a mistake here and it's not the system's fault. Thanks for your reply and your interest. Ken.
ps: Are you an employee of Go, - no name, no id in your profile, or just an imposter trying to guide the ignorant onto the right path? ;=) (with jest)

Don't worry - I found it lurking on the demo server!

Your order was closed 4 minutes after being placed and the screenshot is obviously from the middle of that time. The lowest in the intervening time (bid) was 1.30069 so a spread of 1.2 or greater means the order could not be filled.

This is what I was expecting last night in Oz when I rang, instead I was told that there were no problems your end and that I should turn off my anti virus and firewall if I wished to trade.

At the time my feed was slow, very little movement compared with "normal" and other MT4 feeds. When I placed a trade it was back to the bad old days with 5, 6, or 10 secs, didn't time it but those seconds feel like minutes when trading when waiting for the trade to be processed. I stopped trading and came back an hour later and it worked fine so who knows what it was.

I do think it unreasonable in todays world to expect people to be on line trading without virus or firewall protection. It is fair to ask if I have updated any software recently but when I haven't done so, a little bit more interest in my problem would be appreciated.

I quite agree that more testing should have been done with your account, we did say that for a bit of time yesterday one of our data centres was urgently being updated which caused some brief minor price feed issues for some clients whilst that was in place but we are more than happy to do some test trades with you but I would have probably thought that it is now fixed.
If you ever have any problems then please personally ask for me Chris and say that you would like some test trades done whilst you are on the phone and we will be happy to help.

did a couple of trades last night and all does seem a world better than before. certainly not instant instant but if it takes a second or 2 to process then i'm happy considering it used to take up to a minute. might have just been lucky, so time will tell.

I am still having slow executions on my live account ... just like the other guy here ... so why do you keep saying thats its 100% fixed?? It obviously isnt. Your helpdesk hasnt solved the problem yet either..

When everyone was complaining, you used to say there is abosultely no problem at your end - then a few weeks later you tell us the problem is fixed (which wasnt there in the first place?)... So, once again please look into this "problem" - i clearly am not the only one facing 4-7 second execution delays.

Have you spoken with me directly? I have only had one person contact me about slow execution since the problem was fixed, so am I to assume that you are the one?

If you are you are then you will know that I am dealing with your specific issue and am awaiting a response from MetaQuotes. please also respond to the email that I sent you today... if you are that person!
