Because none have the same magic number. That is why an EA has a magic numer so you can deal with more than one trade at a time. Since manual trades dont have one and EA only entered one L the MPTM will handle them all separately. I went through the MTPM code today and noticed it will set TP for you too. So you can use it for that too. The MPTM doesnt close all levels the EA does. If the EA has put multiple levels with the same magic number and the MPTM closes one, its the EA that closes the rest. The EA only closes the trades it entered with the same magic number. Any trade without that magic number will not be controled by that EA. So you can put manual trades on but without the magic number the EA willnot control them. The MPTM will manage all the trades but only one at a time. If it closes one it is the only trade it closes. If it is one that the EA is controling then the EA will close all the other trades with the same magic number and nothing more. So if MPTM closes a trade that is the only one it touches. The EA only handles trades it enters and attaches its magic number too. Manual trades dont have the magic number so the EA does not handle them. The MPTM will close manual trades, EA trades but on a case by case basis. Hope this clears it all up.

I managed to get the EA's working.

I've noticed a few are manualy trading now (not waiting for all three R,W,B, lines crossing below/above 15/85). Are people just getting impatient and jumping in? or is it something i have missed?

I closed two levels of eur/nzd and both of my gbp/nzd. There is nothing to base decisions on as far as S/R lines go. I just ate the losses. So I have not GBP/NZD trades and I am back to two levels on eur/nzd. Seems to be no end in sight for this NZD run. The others are still very managable but those two can go thousand pips. If I dont see some signs on the EUR/NZD turning soon I will take my first dump all trades since December. The only difference is I have already had a record month so I am just reducing my profit. At this point it is not worth risking a months work on two currencies that just wont stop running for some reason. Dont know why everyone is enamored with NZD right now but that seems to be where the money is going for now. There usually is a reversal late in the week but the EUR/NZD has been diving for 3 weeks now. Whatever loss I am taking I seem to be able to make it up later.

hi naningbob.i just had to register on fxfactory today for one reason after 2 years of reading through as a guest. that is simply to thank you. i am not here to say too much but with your system acting as the main frame for my own system, i traded (albeit demo trading) in the entire april with just 2 losses!!! the winning trades were countless(60-120 pips per trade) as i have about 6 demo accounts in all. i modified ur system to suit myself bringing in trendlines and one or two other indicators.now, i dont care about fundamentals anymore.i check the charts every 4hours only. thanks alot once more 4 ur system. still cant believe its free.i look at the voting and i cant fanthom why some people are voting it down. they perhaps havent even understood it not to talk of giving it a trial. the problem is one has to be lucky to identify a good system as the systems here are countless and it is impossible to go through them all one by one with ample time.perhaps the best things in life are free afterall.cheers

Hi BOB

Taking your advice from the 4H Book I have avoided GBPNZD, GBPCAD and GBPAUD as being extremely volatile. Any particular reason you traded GBBPNZD?

Like many others I have open positions with NZDJPY, NZDCHF and USDNZD. what is your advice? Naturally following your system my NB 4H account is 40% in profit for the month so I can take the loss, however, your thoughts as the creator of this fantastic system would be much appreciated.

If the trade really, really looks good I will take it but unfortunately we are in one of those commodity currency runs that happen once or twice a year. No system is perfect, and you cant trade without taking losses. So I have to take a losing trade. The hardest thing I do in trading is take a losing trade. Our human nature just cant accept the fact that we were just wrong on this one or that one, so we hang one thinking it cant just keep going, can it? Well, sometimes they do. You will see in my report I took some hard hits but you know, I and you need to see that it happens to all of us. These three, NZDJPY, NZDCHF and USDNZD, dont run away like eur/nzd and gbp/nzd, they are not as volatile so we trade them. I will show some pics here.

nzd usd swingman's indicator just came on so I feel confident that this run is over, finally. Anyways I am going to play it that way. nzd/jpy, nzd/chf, aud/nzd are all about the same now. Eur/nzd, gbp/nzd also. So it tells me to trade south and I do. I try to stay in the system because most of the time it works. If price goes against me, I close 1L and add one more. I try to minimize my losses as much as possible.

Thanks very much for your advice. I am still have a long way to adapt to the H4 TF. Needs totally different mind set than the lower TFs such as m15 and m30. Looking at the 3 pairs you just mentioned the charts look almost identical. This is a perfect opportunity for me to test Level 3.

OK Friday was ugly but we had bank so many pips during the month that I just got out of some trades and am done with them. Dang NZD, seems like everyone has fallen in love with you. Went under 5000 pips for the month. Badly managed that Eur/nzd and that cost me my 5000 pip month BUT +4951 in the bank for the month, I am not going to complain.

aud/jpy -22 +16 3MPTM should have stayed in longer but it was a break even so I took it.

eur/usd +40 I forgot to turn my EA from yesterday and all of a sudden there was profit. I never saw it during the day. lucky me.
gbp/jpy +50 +19 4 MPTM picked this one up near the gold line and had fun with it. Forgot to turn off the ea so still in.

OK my top 11 pairs and alternates:
This gives me 2 of each: aud, cad, chf, gbp, nzd,
4 of each eur, usd, jpy
aud/cad - aud/nzd this matc hes minor or commodity currencies together. As I have stated before minor currencies can get squashed by the larger currencies.
chf/jpy - eur/jpy - eur/usd - eur/cad - eur/nzd
gbp/jpy - gbp/usd - usd/chf - usd/jpy
Alternatives: the aud/jpy, eur/jpy, are all similiar so choose one. The Aud/jpy is not as volatile as the gbp/jpy if you want less movement but still like some volatility but it will do long trends more. The most important thing is you dont want to be heavily investment into any one currency. If the EUR/NZD is too volatile for your tastes you can replace it with nzd/chf or nzd/jpy. I just happen to like the eur/nzd pair and the way it flies around the chart.

Most volatile pairs: eur/nzd and gbp/jpy can be replaced with aud/jpy nzd/jpy nzd/chf for less volatility. __________________

Thank you for your note. We do keep an eye on fundamentals but mainly one news story. That is interest rate news. You can throw all indicators out the window if they suddenly change. Whenever the US changes its rates it will be bedlam and I dont think I want to be in the market then.

On another note, I wish to echo everyone's sentiment and say that your system absolutely rocks. The pips keep rolling in, just had a bit of trouble with my massive losing trades on the EURNZD, and more recently I also ate up losses on the GBPNZD. But overall my account has never been closer to breakeven! So once again, thanks so much for sharing your system Bob.

My current trade setup/position for your comments:

I can't keep count of the pips I am up since I returned to your system a mere 3 weeks ago! I've recovered all the losses I made using other inferior systems (or maybe they were less suited to me). Kicking myself a lil for not coming back to your system sooner, then I'd have broken even and even made profits from what I hear were favourable trading conditions in April.

I am in the AUD/CAD I entered manually off of the R line above the gold, dont know why I didnt list it. I am thinking of adding tertiary trade. Manual trades above gold and off or R line. Could use some type of sell the high system here. I am testing 3 ideas now and will post the one I think is most successful. You maybe surprised by the one I think is best though.

Anyway back to my vacation. I had an all you can eat seafood buffett last night and they had this white and milk chocolate fountains you could dip fruit and chocolate fudge into .................... I know, shut up Bob.

Hi Nanningbob!

Thank you greatly for posting all your hard work and congratulations on the great result for April.

I downloaded version 4 today and noticed a problem in the CloseAll script, just because I encountered the same thing today in the EA I am writing. (Which is not ready for the world yet!)

Any of the cases in CloseAll that may skip order(s) i.e. cases 1 to 7, will not work properly if any orders are actually skipped. The reason being that after the skip, OrderSelect(0,SELECT_BY_POS,MODE_TRADES); would keep getting the same order again until cnt equals total and so not close any following orders that might need to be closed.

The way I fixed it in my code was:

change
OrderSelect(0,SELECT_BY_POS,MODE_TRADES);
to
OrderSelect(cnt,SELECT_BY_POS,MODE_TRADES);

i.e. replace 0 by cnt

and add
cnt--;
total--;
into the section of the code which runs when an order is deleted.
