edit: figured I better explain this.. I noticed about 2 years ago that breakout low inside a higher timeframes uptrend from the high swing point 95%of the time or more at least retraced by 50% before it extends more than 300% down from the break.. its a psychological zone where impulsing buying starts and can be related to long term accumulation trades and short term capitulation trades.
So in your hand drawn example the breakout low is the horizontal line, right? So the 300% extension, is that 300% of the distance from the high point to the breakout low? At at what point does that 50% retracement come in? Is it a retracement of that 300% extension? Or is it that the down move retraces 50% of the up move? I don't get what's what.

no I dont.. I have faith in SZ RZ and wave actions patterns around them.. I dont think that because it is at RZ and broker short It will go X distance.. I just trade it and let it do what it will keep shorting and keep adjusting stops..

it was just a chart to show direction of the breakout and positions.. no reason why it was ask only that when I open this platform its automatically ask line euro 15M

any views with regards to the below concept??:

In the pit the filling broker puts in the orders for institutions often a big stack of orders. These will often not be put through all at the same time at that price. The filling broker has to wait for price to return at the price to continue filling his orders. When other traders see the size of those orders, a stack of orders that the filling brokers has to put through, the other traders will watch him and therefore know where the biggest supply and demand areas are to trade from. The filling broker may want to buy at a specific price level, the bigger the size the less likely he is going to get all of it filled. As he runs out of sellers for a long or buyers for a short, at that level, price moves away from his level. An institution will therefore try and bring prices back down to the level so that more orders can be triggered. So if the institution will start selling short to buy at a cheaper price, others will start selling short which will help bring price down back to the buy level. Brokers and institutions spit out bullish news into supply levels and bearish news into demand levels to help achieve this.

It sounds like a logical tactic, no broker wants to move the market and get progressively worse prices as he's trying to work an order.

Aren't we seeing the same thing in forex around significant levels? Institutional traders buying when their ultimate intention is to get their sell order filled and selling to buy, triggering orders to provide momentum and liquidity and to get their orders filled at better prices?

I suppose one disadvantage for forex traders, unlike equities, is we can't see those orders or their size, we can only speculate about where they might be.

1.25 eh? Based on the euro being given junk status generating the order flow to get us there? I would be cautious for a number of reasons:

1. There is a truckload of bad news already factored into the Euro at the 1.3100 - 1.3250 levels. It will take a pretty significant series of events to pound the market down 600 pips to 1.2500. I am not saying it can't happen but if the bailout terms get hammered out ( which I admit seem to be elusive for the market) you could get some decent short covering above and beyond what we have seen.

2. The euro hasn't been given junk status, the weakest fiscal position country (Greece) has been given junk status. Along with downgrades for Portugal and Spain. Now there is contagion risk which the Officials from the major Euro countries are keenly aware of.

Any moves below the current lows are going to be a hard slog unless there is some serious catalyst. Some events which could cause it are further credit downgrades, letting of Greece go bankrupt/abandoning the bailout package(highly unlikely), and if the market starts to seriously even in a small way start to price in a breakup of the Eurozone/exit by some countries.

Now I don't think the Eurozone officials are going to let Greece go bankrupt or start to tell the weaker countries to plot their exit. The bailout process has been slow with a lot of uncertainty surrounding it and it may continue to do so.

I may be wrong but I always watch the market closely every day to determine if sentiment changes but those are my observations.

what I'd like to know in more detail is what size of orders over what time period (and next weeks winning lotto numbers please). I suppose it all depends on the liquidity at the time the orders are put through. You can see it on the charts where you have a strong pull back in price from the major trend usually forming a swing low or high, price then climbs or falls strongly. When price returns to the origin of that strong move price will react quite strongly in the same direction again, it could be hours or weeks later.

Hello and thanks to Domino and everybody for all the great discussion...have been following Domino's posts from the other thread.

I'm curious where order flow is gathering right now on the hourly chart for EURJPY. I can't quite figure out how to read this...price seems unable to get higher, but no lower either...would the likely bias be to the short side? Or maybe this one of those times to stay away? Any thoughts welcome!

If such a thing exists I would see that low/high/retracement and then further leg up as just the 'natural' ebb and flow. Market has a move up, some traders take profit covering their longs and then re-enter at a better price, new money looking for somewhere to buy in the uptrend enters on the retracement....price resumes it's uptrend, breaks the previous high which attracts new buys and triggers some short stops, all adding momentum. To me that's just normal market rhythm, whereas the text you posted seems to be talking more about manipulation.

ps I don't know where the orders are but next weeks lotto numbers are 7, 10, 21, 26, 36, and 43. Hope that helps
